Rangers is an open and relaxed space for girls aged 14-18, where you can regularly meet up with good friends and explore your passions.

Push your boundaries by trying out new activities, travel to new places or volunteering for causes in your local community.

Rangers are in control of what they do and how; our volunteers help bring their visions to life.

Guides is a place where girls aged 10-14 explore the things they love and do stuff they’ve never done before.

Where else can girls think up a new sport, make a new perfume, cook over a campfire, design an advertising campaign, have a mocktail party or raise money for a charity she believes in?

At Guides, she can do all of this and loads more.

Our volunteers make all this happen.

Brownies is full of firsts for girls aged 7-10. They can explore their creative side, get out into the great outdoors, learn how to look after themselves, others and the world we live in.

They have the chance to take part in new activities, play games and earn badges, all while being supported by our trained volunteers who give up their time for free.

Rainbows welcomes girls from 4 to 7 years old to laugh, learn and have fun in a creative safe space.

Rainbows will laugh, sing and make a happy mess (and help clear it up!) as they choose their way through our programme of activities: they might become a time traveller, an animal tracker, a pop singer, a stargazer. It’s a wonderful world of fun just for them.

Our volunteers make this happen

...But what do you do in Girlguiding?!

We try new things. We learn. We laugh. We support each other. And of course, earn lots of badges!

We might be your daughter's first night away, where she meets her new best friend, learns first aid and working as part of a team, or contacts her MP about the things she cares about.

In Girlguiding, girls develop the skills they need to navigate life.

From age 4-18, we have something for everyone and no two weeks are ever the same.

Our inspiring volunteers make this happen.

It's ! So often we hear "I couldn't do what you do". Maybe 2026 is the year you decide to give it a try!

We’re working to shape an equal world where girls can be happy, safe and fulfil their potential. And we laugh, learn and have adventures at the same time! No two weeks are ever the same...

Today we have celebrated 100 years of World Thinking Day together as a District. It was brilliant to see Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers taking part in so many activities inspired by Girlguiding South West England's fantastic resource pack: building friendships and making memories 🥰

Events like these are only possible thanks to our amazing adult volunteers. Join in the fun: www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus

This morning we all came together with the local community to remember the importance of "service before self", thinking of the needs of others before ourselves and doing our best. On Remembrance Sunday, we particularly remember the sacrifices made by members of armed forces in all conflicts but this year we especially commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

We will remember them.

Two weeks ago, we had a fantastic District Trip to Woburn Safari Park. Despite some wildly changeable weather a great day was had by all! On arrival, we all learnt some new facts from our very knowledgeable guides from the education team as we drove around the park. Afterwards, we spent the rest of the day exploring the foot safari, going on the train and asking the zookeepers lots of questions 😁
