Another amazing turnout here at Beckside from our friends at 51 Squadron RAF Waddington. The team worked incredibly hard and have promised to return every few weeks to help with our gardens.

Activities do not have to be big or expensive to make a difference. Sometimes it is simply enjoying a coffee together or a visit to our local charity shop.

We had a wonderful afternoon visit from Big Sky Alpacas. Residents, families, friends, staff and a few little ones all enjoyed spending time with these beautiful animals. Rio and Keril also visited residents in their rooms, bringing plenty of smiles along the way.

Alpacas are renowned for their super-thick coats and, as they are not sheared until June, everyone had the chance to feel just how soft and luxurious their fleece is.

Meet Ruby, Yan and Kayce, who recently joined us at Beckside on placement from Lincoln College. The ladies organised a fun-filled exercise afternoon, with residents enjoying activities using balloons, bats and the parachute.

Our residents always love welcoming younger people into the home and spending time together. Well done and thank you, ladies, for all your hard work and enthusiasm!

We had a lovely chat about these beautiful birds then we got to give them treats and have a little hold, for such big birds they are incredibly gentle.
