Checkmate! The Board Boys Chess Tournament is coming!

Our fantastic Board Boys group usually gets together every Monday to enjoy some board games, but this Monday they're taking things up a notch!

They're kicking off a three-day chess tournament, putting their strategy, skills and concentration to the test as they battle it out on the chessboard!

It's all about friendly competition, having fun, building connections and enjoying time together.

Who will be crowned the Board Boys chess champion? Will it be a master strategist or an unexpected dark horse? There's only one way to find out!

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2026

Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.

Today, we recognise the importance of listening to people with lived experience of mental health challenges — not just hearing their words, but understanding their experiences and acting on what they tell us.

Every story matters. Every experience is valid. Every voice has the potential to help change attitudes, challenge stigma and improve the support available to others.

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day

Mental health matters every single day — not just tomorrow.

Sometimes, looking after our mental health means taking a break. Sometimes, it means talking to someone, setting boundaries, asking for help or simply getting through a difficult day.

We never really know what someone else might be going through, so a little kindness, a listening ear and a simple “How are you, really?” can make more difference than we realise.

As we approach World Mental Health Day, let's remember to check in with ourselves and the people around us. 💚

You don't have to be okay all the time, and you don't have to face things alone.

Our cycle group completed their challenge to ride to Collingham and back on 1 September.

Today we celebrate our CEO, Lynsey, and two incredible decades of dedication, passion and energy — from Lincoln Community Development Project to the developmentplus we know today.

Over those 20 years, Lynsey has helped shape our organisation and, most importantly, made a lasting difference to the lives of so many people, families and communities.
