💚 THAT’S US FINISHED FOR TODAY! 💚

And what a lovely distribution it’s been! 🥰 Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone for bearing with us with the last-minute change of time today. We know moving our usual distribution time at short notice isn’t always easy, so we really appreciate everyone adapting and coming down to see us. 💚

Everything went down really well and it was so lovely to see so many different faces today, lots of new ones as well as plenty of our familiar regulars! 🥰 We had lots of fruit, fresh produce, grapes and bakery shared out and heading into local homes rather than going to waste. 🍇🍌🥦🥖

We also want to give a BIG shout-out to over on TikTok, who popped by to check out what we were up to today! 💚 Wayne is also getting the Safe Night Project Lincoln up and running, which is another fantastic initiative looking to do some good within our community. If you’re on TikTok, go and give a follow and have a look at his adventures for a good cause! 🥰👏

As always, a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers who give up their time to collect, sort, transport, set up and distribute everything, and to all of the businesses and individuals whose donations make these distributions possible. We hope everyone who came along managed to take something useful home with them, and we hope you all have a lovely rest of your day! ☀️💚

And after today’s little change around, we’re hoping to be back to our usual 5:30pm distribution time next Sunday 🤞 Keep an eye on the page nearer the time for confirmation and to see what goodies we’ve managed to rescue and share! Until the next one! 🥰

💚 WE’RE SET UP & READY TO GO! 💚

We’re down at Diamond Park NOW and today’s earlier CHOMP community distribution is all set up and ready! 🙌🌱

Remember, we’ve brought today’s distribution forward because of the weather, so we’re here at 12PM rather than our usual 5.30pm! ⏰☀️
And there is LOADS to share today! 😍

🍇 Loads of grapes
🍎 Lots of fresh fruit
🥕 Fresh vegetables & produce
🥖 Plenty of bakery
🛍️ And plenty of other bits to have a look through!

As always, everything is completely FREE. If you feel you need it, grab a bag, come down and help yourself to what you can use. 💚 We just ask everyone to please be considerate of one another and take what you know you’ll use so we can spread everything amongst as many people as possible.

We’re doing things a little differently tomorrow! Due to the weather, we’ve made the decision to bring our usual Sunday community distribution forward to 12PM at Diamond Park.
⏰ PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER TIME AT 12PM! ⏰

🕛 12PM, NOT our usual 5.30pm!

And we’ve got LOADS to share! 🙌
🍇 Lots and lots of grapes
🍎 Fresh fruit
🥕 Fresh vegetables & produce
🥖 Plenty of bakery
🌱 Plus whatever other goodies make their way onto the tables!

As always, everything is completely FREE. There’s no referral needed and no judgement. If you feel you need it, please bring a bag, come down and help yourself to what you can use. We simply ask everyone to be mindful of others so we can spread what we have amongst as many households as possible.

Please help us get the word out as this is much earlier than our usual Sunday distribution, share the post, tag someone who normally comes along or let friends and neighbours know so nobody gets soggy and makes the trip down at 5.30pm and misses us! 🥰

💚 THAT’S US FINISHED FOR THE DAY! 💚

And what a lovely evening it’s been! ☀️🥰 Tonight’s distribution was a little bigger than usual, but everything went down really well and we managed to share lots of food out into our community. It was brilliant to see so many of you coming down, plenty of familiar faces as well as lots of new ones joining us for the first time. 💚

The sunshine even decided to stick around for us, so we couldn’t have asked for a much nicer evening at Diamond Park! ☀️🌳 Our Mini CHOMPers and volunteers were back in action too, completing another litter pick around the park and surrounding community while we were there. 🗑️🌱 We love that our distributions aren’t just about sharing food, but also about looking after the area we all share.

A big thank you to the lovely member of the public who brought some items down to add to our tables and share with the community tonight. Gestures like that are exactly what CHOMP is about, local people helping local people. 🥰 And, of course, a massive thank you to our volunteers for giving up their Sunday evening to collect, unload, set up, distribute, litter pick, pack everything away and keep the whole thing running smoothly. 💚

We absolutely loved seeing everyone tonight and hope you all managed to take home something useful.

It’s Sunday, which means the CHOMP team will be back down at Diamond Park at 5.30pm today with another community surplus distribution! 🌱

We’ve got LOTS of lovely fresh food to share today, including:
🍎 Lots of fruit
🥕 Fresh vegetables & produce
🥖 Plenty of bakery goodies
🥐 And other bits and pieces depending on what comes in!

As always, everything is completely FREE. There’s no charge, no judgement and no need to explain why you’re coming along. If having a little extra food in the cupboard would help you or your family, bring a bag and come and take what you can use. 💚

We’ll continue using the changes we’ve made to the queue and distribution system to help keep things moving smoothly and make sure what we have can be shared as fairly as possible amongst everyone.

The gates are open, the fun has started and we’re here until 4PM TODAY! 🥳 Come down to Birchwood Scout Hut and spend the afternoon with us bring a picnic, grab yourself a spot and let the kids get stuck in!

💚 THAT’S A WRAP FOR TODAY! 💚

Another Sunday community distribution complete, and what a lovely evening it’s been! 🥰 A huge thank you to everyone who came down to Diamond Park today. It was lovely seeing our regular faces, meeting some new ones and watching lots of surplus food head off to local homes where it can be enjoyed. 🍌🥖🥕💐

We’re also really pleased to say that the changes we’ve made to our queueing system seem to be working really well! 🙌 Things felt much smoother again today and we were able to spread what we had more fairly across everyone who came along.

Thank you so much to everyone for bearing with us while we’ve been trying different things. There’s always going to be a little bit of trial and error as CHOMP grows, but we’ll keep listening to your feedback, seeing what works and making changes where we can. 💚

Our Mini CHOMPers and volunteers were back out with the litter pick too! 🗑️🌱 Once again they headed around the park and local area helping to leave our shared community a little cleaner than we found it. We absolutely love seeing the little ones getting involved and taking pride in where they live. 🥰

We’d also like to say a special thank you to the lovely lady who came down today and donated a couple of boxes of cereal to CHOMP. 🥣💚 Little acts of kindness like this really do make a difference and mean we have even more that we can pass on to people within our community. We really appreciate you thinking of us and supporting what we do!

And of course, a massive thank you to all of our volunteers for another fantastic distribution. From collecting and sorting the food to loading cars, setting up, helping throughout the distribution, keeping an eye on the park, litter picking and packing everything away again we genuinely couldn’t do it without you. 💚

After all the planning, organising and excitement, CHOMP IT LIKE IT’S HOT is finally happening TOMORROW! 🎉🎉

📅 Monday 17th August
⏰ 12pm–4pm
📍 Birchwood Scout Hut

We’ve planned a relaxed afternoon where our community can come together, have some fun and celebrate CHOMP’s birthday with us! 🎂💚 There’ll be games, water fun, activities for the little ones, crafts, tombolas, face painting with Mandy for just £2 per person, refreshments, a community picnic and plenty more! ☀️🎨💦🎟️

Our CHOMP surplus distribution will be there too, so remember to bring a bag and help us make sure more perfectly good surplus food finds its way into local homes. 🌱 We’ve even got some brilliant beach balls kindly donated by Age UK Lincolnshire ready to add to the summer fun! 🏖️☀️

Bring a picnic, bring the family, come and have a chat, let the kids have some fun and spend a few hours with your community. 💚

After today, we’re packing away the Sunday distribution gear and getting ready for a very different kind of CHOMP tomorrow… 👀🔥

💚 WE’RE ALL SET UP & READY TO GO! 💚

Everything is out, our volunteers are ready and today’s CHOMP Community Distribution is about to get underway at Diamond Park, Birchwood! 🌱

We’ve got plenty to share today including:
🍌 Lots of bananas
🥖 Lots of bakery goodies
🍎 Fresh fruit
🥕 Fresh vegetables & produce
💐 Flowers – one bunch per group please
🌱 Plus other surplus goodies!

🛍️ Bring a bag, come down and take what you can use it’s all completely FREE!

We’ll also be continuing with the changes we trialled last week to help make the distribution smoother and fairer for everyone. They worked really well, but we’ll keep learning, listening to feedback and tweaking things as we go. 💚

As always, everything is while stocks last, so please be considerate of others and only take what you can genuinely use.
