Warm Weather SWEP is being called from this morning ⚠️

We can provide water and sun cream to any group of people who may require. These are available from City Hall should anyone require, or, if not able to access please let us know a location and we will attend and provide.

We will also make some available to collect from the following:

💚 A Friendly Reminder from CHOMP 💚

We love seeing young people getting involved in their community and it’s always lovely when children and families come along to our distributions, events and activities. 😊

However, we would like to make a small request to our community.

Some of our volunteers have recently been approached at their homes during their personal and family time because they are known to be involved with CHOMP. Whilst we understand that this is often simply children being friendly or curious, we kindly ask that our volunteers’ homes are respected as private residences.

Our volunteers are always happy to see members of the community when attending CHOMP events, distributions and activities, or when out and about locally. However, when they are at home, they are spending time with their families and enjoying some well-earned downtime away from volunteering.

We would be grateful if parents, carers and young people could help us by remembering that CHOMP volunteers’ homes are private family spaces and should not be used as a place to visit volunteers about CHOMP.

Our volunteers give hundreds of hours each year to support the community, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. Helping to respect their privacy ensures they can continue supporting the community whilst also enjoying time with their own families.

💚 THAT’S A WRAP FOR ANOTHER COMMUNITY DISTRIBUTION! 💚

What a fantastic evening at Diamond Park! 🌿

Today we shared out lots of fresh bakery items, fruit and produce, helping ensure that good food found its way into the community rather than going to waste.

It was lovely to see both familiar faces and new faces joining us, and we hope everyone enjoyed the fantastic variety of food available this week. 🍎🍞🥕🌸

Our amazing volunteers also completed a litter pick of the surrounding area, collecting and removing a full bag of rubbish from the environment and helping keep our community looking its best. 🗑️💚

A special shout out goes to our Mini Chompers, who did a fantastic job helping at the end of the distribution by organising and loading empty trays into the van. We love seeing young people getting involved and taking pride in helping their community. 🌟

None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, community partners and generous members of the public who continue to support what we do. Your kindness, hard work and dedication help make CHOMP possible week after week.

🌸 Fresh flowers (one bunch per person to help them go further)

This week’s distribution includes:
🍎 Lots of fresh fruit
🥕 Fresh produce
🍞 Bakery items
🌸 Fresh flowers (limited to one bunch per person so that as many people as possible can enjoy them)

Everything is available free of charge thanks to our incredible volunteers, local businesses and community partners who help us rescue surplus food and redistribute it back into the community.

No referral needed, simply bring a bag and come along.

💚 THAT’S A WRAP FOR ANOTHER SUNDAY! 💚

What a fantastic evening at Diamond Park!

Today we welcomed lots of familiar faces alongside some new members of our community, and we’re pleased to say that we distributed almost everything available. 🌿🍞🥔🌸

After the distribution, our amazing Mini Chompers also took part in a community litter pick, helping keep Birchwood looking its best and showing that even the youngest members of our community can make a real difference. 🗑️💚

Days like today are only possible because of the incredible people who give up their time to help others.

As it is National Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every CHOMP volunteer. Whether you’re collecting food, sorting donations, delivering parcels, running events, litter picking, supporting distributions or working behind the scenes, CHOMP simply would not exist without you.

We’d also like to recognise and celebrate volunteers everywhere. Communities across the country are stronger because of the kindness, dedication and generosity of volunteers who choose to make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who came along today, everyone who donated, and everyone who continues to support what we do.

It’s been a busy day here at CHOMP, thank you to all who came to see us at the Birchwood Family Fun day and thank you to Be Lincoln for having us. It’s been our pleasure and we’ve loved seeing so many community faces!

If you missed us this morning, that’s okay because our Sunday distribution is still going ahead as usual - 5:30 pm today at Diamond Park! Looking forward to seeing you all there 💚
