🌳 Seed Collecting Day is TOMORROW 🌱

Join Gift to Nature for a lovely morning outdoors at Golden Hill Fort as we collect seeds to support our Community Tree Nursery.

📅 Tomorrow, Friday 16th October
⏰ 10am–1pm
📍 Golden Hill Fort
🚗 Meeting point: Golden Hill Fort Car Park

Our Ranger Jon will give a short introduction before leading a guided seed collecting walk, helping us identify suitable trees and plants and gather seeds that will be grown on for future planting. 🌿🌰

Come along, enjoy the fresh air, learn more about our local wildlife and help us grow trees for the future! 🌳

Please bring:
🧤 Garden gloves
🥾 Sturdy footwear
🧥 Suitable clothing for the weather

🌳 Seed Collecting Day – Golden Hill Fort 🌱

You are warmly invited to join Gift to Nature for our next Seed Collecting Day at Golden Hill Fort.

📅 Friday 16th October
⏰ 10am–1pm
📍 Golden Hill Fort

Come along and help us collect seeds from the wonderful trees and plants around the site. It’s a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors, learn more about the local nature and help support our Community Tree Nursery. 🌿

Our Ranger Jon will give a brief introduction before heading out on a guided seed collecting walk, identifying suitable trees and collecting seeds which will be processed and grown on for future planting.

🥾 Please bring sturdy footwear, garden gloves and suitable clothing for the weather.

Everyone is welcome — come and lend a hand while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Golden Hill Fort! 💚

🌿 A lovely day at the Volunteers Fair! 🌿

We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Volunteers Fair at Medina Riverside Centre.

It was fantastic to meet so many lovely people, chat about Gift to Nature and share our passion for protecting and caring for the beautiful natural spaces of the Isle of Wight. 🌳🦋

We rely on our amazing volunteers to help us care for nature and make a real difference across the Island. A huge thank you to everyone who gives their time, energy and enthusiasm. We couldn’t do what we do without you! 💚

If you’ve been inspired to get involved, there are lots of ways you can support Gift to Nature, whether you have a little time or a lot. Come and join our fantastic volunteer community, we’d love to hear from you!

🌸 Gift to Nature’s Community Tree Nursery is at Wolverton Manor Garden Fair 🍃

It was great to see so many people at the Wolverton Manor Garden Fair yesterday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and learn a bit more about what we do!

We have our wonderful Community Tree Nursery at the fair this year. With 3,601 trees propagated this year, across 19 native species, come and find out the story behind our project and how you could get involved.

We also have some stock all ready to find new homes! 🌳

🌱 Come and find your perfect native tree for your garden, land or community project. We have our tree catalogue available to browse, with details of all the species we’ve grown and prices.

🌿 Gift to Nature is heading to Wolverton Manor Garden Fair 🌳

We’re delighted to be heading to the Wolverton Manor Garden Fair this weekend, 5th & 6th September 🌸

Come and visit our rangers at the Gift to Nature stand and discover more about the work we do to protect, restore and create special places for nature across the Isle of Wight. 🐝🦋🌳

We’ll be there chatting about our nature reserves, local wildlife and the importance of creating a greener future for the Island.

🌱 Come along, say hello, find out what we do and see how you can support Gift to Nature, whether it is becoming a monthly supporter for as little as £3 a month or volunteering your time with our rangers in local projects.

🌿 Nature is thriving at Dickson Copse 🌸

The pond at Dickson Copse is looking fantastic following the winter conservation work. The water lilies are just beginning to bloom, adding beautiful colour to the water, while dragonflies are already darting around the pond, bringing it to life.

It's wonderful to see the positive impact of habitat management and how quickly nature responds. If you're visiting, take a moment to stop by the pond and enjoy this peaceful haven for wildlife.

Every season brings something new to discover. 💚

🌿 Meet Our New Apprentice! 🌿

We're delighted to welcome Lauren to the Gift to Nature team! 💚

Over the coming months, you'll see her out and about helping to care for our beautiful nature reserves, learning new skills, supporting conservation projects, and meeting many of the wonderful people who make our work possible.
We're so excited to have her on board and can't wait for you to get to know her.

📍 Find us at Gift to Nature Community Tree Nursery, behind the Natural Enterprise Centre, Newport Road, Northwood, Isle of Wight, PO31 8PE.

Take a walk around the nursery, find out how native trees are grown from locally collected seed, chat to the team and volunteers, and discover the role these young trees play in restoring nature across the Isle of Wight.

There will also be a small selection of native trees and hedging plants available to take home while stocks last. 🌱
