FoodCycle Cymru We invite members of the community to come and share a wholesome meal made by volunteers with food which would have otherwise gone to waste.

FoodCycle connects communities by bringing people together to share food and conversation. Week in, week out, thousands of volunteers across the country transform surplus food into healthy, delicious meals for anyone that needs them, no questions asked. Food poverty and loneliness are growing issues, both heightened by the recent pandemic. By offering a safe, welcoming space to enjoy a free meal and company, FoodCycle brings people from all backgrounds and walks of life together, improving mental wellbeing and strengthening community spirit. FoodCycle also runs a free Check-in and Chat telephone service, where volunteers make weekly calls to anyone in need of a natter. Join us for a free weekly meal at the following locations, no pre-registration or questions asked:

We served another lovely community meal at FoodCycle Newport on Tuesday evening, with our volunteers coming together to produce another wonderful menu for our guests 😍

On the menu we had:
🥕 Hummus with carrots and ryvita

🍝 Cheese & tomato pizzaGreen sa lad with balsamic dressing, mini roast potatoes with Gorgonzola red cabbage and apple

🍐 Pear and banana fruit salad, mango kefi

Another lovely menu well done to the team!

Served a 3 course meal of Asian noodle Salad, followed by Lentil Cottage Pie with Fresh Vegetables donated from the Harvest Festival at the local Church, served with onion gravy,
