We've had some wonderful feedback from a family who have recently moved on from Supported Contact to make their own arrangements...

"Just want to say thank you to the fabulous staff for their efforts and in helping my daughter become comfortable in a new environment and being very accommodating of her additional needs which makes life easier. They've fully understood and have helped it all along. So thank you for the service it's been a simple experience and I won't forget the help the Centre has given us. We hope to move on and see what the future does for us on the rest of our parenting journey.

Special thanks to the Volunteers for their listening ears, smiling and energetic personalities and ensuring things go smoothly for my daughter where they are able".

More fantastic news this morning as we have received our Accreditation Certificate for Supervised Contact!

After months of work towards this, we are delighted that we can now offer a Supervised Contact Service, in addition to our long-running Supported Service. 👏 This will help many families needing an extra level of support, in Newport and further afield.

Newport Family Centre is committed to providing a Supervised Contact Service that allows every child the opportunity to build and maintain a positive relationship with their non-resident parent/family members.

Thanks to the dedication of 2 of our wonderful volunteers, who attended this fundraising event on behalf of Newport Family Centre, we have secured £10,000 to continue to develop the wonderful work of our Centre!

The UK has one of the highest rates of family breakdown in the Western world with nearly one in four children living with a single parent. More than a million children have no contact whatsoever with one or other parent after separation.

NACCC is the only charity in the UK dedicated to solving this problem, by providing safe spaces where children can meet the parents they don’t live with. We oversee around 350 contact centres across the UK, run by a network of nearly 3000 volunteers.

Our campaign aims to raise awareness of the work centres do in keeping children in touch with parents. We have a number of activities planned over the coming year. Have a look at this short film to find out more about what we do and how you can help.
