Just a quick post to ask if anyone is able to buy some Royal Canin baby dog milk or baby cat milk and Royal Canin baby dog mousse or baby cat mousse please? 🦔

We have a few little babies in at the moment that are starting to wean and we are running pretty low on both🤎

The 2 coin collection bins that were in stores in Newmarket & Bury St Edmunds in March, have enabled us to receive a whopping £3000.

Last week, at a local community event, Jana met with Mark Pendlington, His Majesty’s Lord‑Lieutenant of Suffolk, to talk about our rescue, the vital work we do, and the huge part volunteers and the public play in protecting hedgehogs.

Knowing he is a keen reader, Jana gifted him two delightful hedgehog books written by Lynda Brignall, and invited him to visit our new site once we move.

We are delighted that the Lord‑Lieutenant accepted this invitation, and we will be looking forward to welcoming him for a visit in the near future once we have moved.

We were honoured that Mark Pendlington kindly acknowledged our charity in writing, recognising the dedication and commitment of volunteers — not only within our rescue, but across the whole of Suffolk.

Another plea, please put nets away after use. We have had countless hedgehogs in after being caught in nets over the years.

Please think wildlife lift them up high, if they can’t be removed.

🦔 Sharing this from another rescue — because we ALL need to keep shouting about the dangers of garden equipment that kill our hedgehogs.

We are calling on the public, gardening companies, landscaping teams, and council workers to physically check before cutting, trimming, or mowing any green space.

If you can’t see a hedgehog, it doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
When we lose one hedgehog, we lose a whole generation.
Please check.
Please care. Lives depend on it.

Check out this very clever hedgehog. We were sent this video and know the hedgehog to be Sherbert, a previous release.
Sherbert clearly wanted to make some nesting adjustments after she decided to steal underwear, that was hanging on a airer in the garden!!
