Fullers Mill Garden Fullers Mill is an enchanting 7 acre garden on the banks of the River Lark, owned by

Fullers Mill combines a beautiful site of light dappled woodland with a plantsman’s paradise of rare and unusual shrubs, perennials, lilies and marginal plants. The garden was created by the late Bernard Tickner MBE (1924-2017). He moved to Fullers Mill in 1958 and spent over 50 years creating the garden you see today from rough scrub and woodland. In 2004 he and his wife Bess donated the garden to The Fullers Mill Trust, a registered charity, which was established to manage the garden and to ensure its future. In 2013, the garden was gifted to Perennial, for its long-term preservation. Head Gardener Annie Dellbridge and her team of gardeners and volunteers now maintain the garden for the enjoyment of visitors from April to October.

One last chance to join us for Tail-Wagging Tuesday at Fullers Mill Garden 🐾

Tomorrow, Tuesday 27 October, is our final dog-friendly day of the season, and we’d love to welcome you and your four-legged friends for one more wander around the garden.

A big thank you to everyone who has joined us for Tail-Wagging Tuesdays this year. We’ve loved welcoming you and your dogs to Fullers Mill 💚

Visitor update 🌿

Due to anticipated high winds, Fullers Mill Garden will be closed on Sunday 25 October.

The lake walk will also be closed tomorrow, Saturday 24 October, but the main garden will remain open as usual.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. The safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our priority.

Our end-of-season plant sale is coming soon 🌿

Treat yourself to a plant or two during your visit to Fullers Mill Garden, from 27 October to 1 November, with buy one, get one half price on all plants.

Autumn is a great time to get planting. The soil is still warm, and with more rainfall on the way, plants have a good opportunity to establish before next spring.

Enjoy a wander through the garden and take a little piece of Fullers Mill home with you.

If you’re visiting Fullers Mill Garden today, please note that roadworks are in place again.

The garden can only be accessed from the A1101. Please do not travel via Ingham Road.

It’s Tail-Wagging Tuesday at Fullers Mill Garden 🐾

If you’re joining us today, please note that road closed signs are still in place on Icklingham Road due to road repairs. Please travel via Lackford.

There are just three Tail-Wagging Tuesdays left this season, including today.

Dogs are welcome to explore the garden with their well-behaved humans, with scents to sniff, paths to wander and plenty of tails to wag.

Up to two dogs are welcome per adult, and dogs must stay on short, fixed leads.

Please note, there is no access to the lake walk on Tail-Wagging Tuesdays.

We're looking forward to opening today (Sunday 4 October) for the National Garden Scheme and celebrating 40 years of partnership with Perennial.

Over this time, the National Garden Scheme has donated more than £2.4 million to Perennial, helping us support people in horticulture and their families 💚

No booking is needed, so you’re very welcome to come along and pay on the gate.

Refreshments will be available, with tea, coffee and cake in aid of Perennial - Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society
