Wow 😮 so many jobs completed this morning- thank you to everyone who came and to Corsham 10K and 2K for donating the money for the flowers and compost

It's Ground Force Day tomorrow and looks like the sun will be shining, hooray! ☀️😊

Please come and join us 10-12.30 or whatever you can manage. Bring your tools, gloves and kids for a bit of weeding and clearing. We've also got some lovely flowers to refresh the planters around school.

Brushes and rakes will be handy. Also large garden bags to put cuttings into would be wonderful.

Still hoping someone might have a car with a towbar 🙏🏻 It's just to tow the trailer down the school field to dump clippings at the end, no trips off-site or anything like that.

Ground force day is this Sunday and we need your help! It’s a great opportunity to meet other families and help make the school site even better 🤩
Jobs include:
Weeds in carpark and around school building perimeter removed
Hedge alongside left of school building trimmed back slightly
2 x car park gates and side gate brushed down and painted (we will supply the wire brush for cleaning as well as the black metal paint)
Any obstructions in the forest area e.g. roots and branches, removed to ensure safety for pupils
Sunken Garden area cleaned and pillars tidied
Planters attended to if we can source flowers for this 🤞
Brushing down and tidying of walls around the Library and EYFS classrooms
Jet washing of benches

We invite you to join us on Sunday 14th June for our annual Ground Force Day at the school from 10am-12.30pm.

Ground Force Day is when our school community comes together to get the grounds ready for our children to enjoy during the summer term.

As usual there are jobs for all - please do bring your children to get involved! We will have a list of priorities which include weeding, clearing, pruning, tidying, planting and strimming.

Please come and join us for some or all of the morning and bring tools and gloves if you have them. 😊

Vehicle with tow bar needed!

We have a trailer to load the cuttings onto but are in need of a vehicle with a tow bar to pull the trailer - if you are able to help us out with this, please contact the school office or FoNS on [email protected], or message us on Facebook.
