Call of the Wild Development Trust We are a charity based in South Wales, empowering local children with resilience to prepare them for the future. We are a charity based in South Wales.

Our Resilience Programme empowers children to thrive! Our aim is to boost children's mental and physical resilience. We provide them with essential life skills, give them access to outdoor adventure activities and involve them in team tasks. This boosts their confidence, helps them develop good habits and a positive mental attitude so they can grow and become active and engaged citizens within our community.

So lovely to receive this wonderful feedback from Neath Port Talbot Children's Services last week!

Thanks to the generous support of the John and Cath Charitable Foundation, we were able to provide three unforgettable days of fun, challenge, and connection for a group of care experienced children and young people.

We saw confidence grow, friendships form, and memories made that will last a lifetime. Thank you for helping make such a positive difference. 🌟

Some fantastic feedback from the Youth Adventure Trust, who we are proud to partner with every year for their Summer Camps.

"The staff team always go above and beyond to make sure our trips are memorable, impactful, and enjoyable. We saw our young people grow in confidence and resilience through the week and this is in no small part due to the dedication, empathy and commitment the Call of The Wild staff show every time we work with them. This is what sees us come back year after year. We cannot recommend Call of The Wild enough and we are already looking forward to our next visit in 2027"

Just one way to keep cool. This is the kind of office day I like!

With the current hot weather, it’s easy to be drawn to the water—but this is also a reminder of how important it is to stay safe. The right supervision, safety equipment, and guidance make all the difference in turning something risky into something truly empowering.
I’m so proud to be part of a charity that helps build confidence and create opportunities like this. 💙

We love this! 🥰

To all the young carers out there, we think you are absolutely wonderful!
That’s why we offer activity days for young carers to give them a break and connect with others who understand how it feels.
