Great to see

Monday nights at the Rec have certainly become Ladies Night 💙💗

An incredible 70 women and girls took part this week, enjoying either rugby or rounders, a fantastic turnout and a brilliant atmosphere all round.

It’s not just us at the rugby club either. Across Ystradgynlais, female participation is thriving, with football, hockey, pickleball and bowls all being played.

It’s great to see such an inclusive community where opportunities are open to everyone. A huge thank you to those who are driving these sports forward and giving their time to create these opportunities.

We at Ystradgynlais RFC are proud to play our part. The sky’s the limit… which sport next?

Monday
• Gems Touch Rugby (Girls 7–17) – 5:45pm
• Women’s Rounders – 7:00pm

• Diamonds Women’s Touch Rugby Training – 7:00pm

We have noticed a significant increase in dog fouling across the Welfare Grounds and Tick Tock field.

This issue is particularly severe in the junior playing and training area between the rugby and football pitches (the former cricket square).

Dogs are not permitted on any grassed areas of the Welfare Grounds. These spaces are designated for sport, not dog walking.

Dog fouling presents a serious health risk, especially to children using these facilities. We ask all dog owners to act responsibly and respect the rules. Basically your dog’s toileting needs are not as important as the health of this communities children.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our community safe and clean.

Running a rugby club is no longer just about Saturdays, it’s a 12 month commitment. Creating a thriving clubhouse means bringing people together all year round, not just on match days.

Rugby alone isn’t enough anymore and we’re incredibly proud of our proactive volunteers who have put together an outstanding summer of events for both our members and the wider community.

18th July – Duck Race & Family Day
8th August – Touched by Cancer (in aid of Swansea Bay Health Charity)
29th August – Transplant Unit Fundraiser, A very special rugby day ahead,more info coming soon

Ystradgynlais RFC U15s are on the hunt to strengthen their squad.

Moving into Yr 10 in September and want to join a fun, friendly team? Guaranteed game time, next years Yr 9 players also welcome to come along.

We are still training at 6pm every Wednesday until end of June - Come along to the main field and try it out before pre-season starts end of July

No Annual Subs & Kit Provided, free rugby for all

No experience needed.
