Tots Early Years Community host inclusive community stay and play groups in Monmouth for babies and pre-school children and their families. Alongside their original Tea & Tots sessions, they also run Together Tots — a gentle, inclusive stay and play group for babies and young children with additional needs and disabilities.
Their founder, Annie Hutchings, started the group for new mothers like herself searching for connection – a gentle, safe space for those quietly struggling with loneliness, exhaustion, anxiety, or simply not having a place to go.
In 2025, everything changed when her daughter Annabel was diagnosed with an ultra-rare genetic neurodevelopmental condition. When the diagnosis finally came, so did a future that felt overwhelming and unknown.
Very quickly, she saw that local early years support for families like hers was limited. There were no dedicated spaces for babies and young children with additional needs, and few opportunities for parents to connect with others who truly understood.
So she created Together Tots, a calm, inclusive space designed with children like Annabel in mind where families can attend without pressure, where differences are understood, and where everyone is welcomed exactly as they are.
Today, with support from The National Lottery Community Fund, Tots Early Years Community supports 20–30 families each week across their sessions, helping to reduce isolation and create a sense of belonging for families in the early years.
Here’s what a Mum had to say about the Together Tots play group:
“Together Tots is an amazing, safe, calm and fully inclusive place for my little one. He has very complex health needs and Annie always makes him feel welcome and included in everything. The toys she has are all sensory based which is perfect for my little one who has no sight.
We will be attending this group for as long as we are able to, we love it there. It’s really nice to be able to talk to other parents who understand what we are going through.”

Ochr yn ochr â’u sesiynau gwreiddiol Tea & Tots, maent hefyd yn cynnal Together Tots – grŵp aros a chwarae tyner, cynhwysol ar gyfer babanod a phlant ifanc sydd ag anghenion ychwanegol ac anableddau
Cychwynnodd eu sylfaenydd, Annie Hutchings, y grŵp ar gyfer mamau newydd fel hi ei hun oedd yn chwilio am gysylltiad – gofod diogel, tyner i’r rhai sy’n brwydro unigrwydd, blinder, pryder neu heb unman i droi ato.
Yn 2025, newidiodd pob dim pan gafodd ei merch Annabel ddiagnosis o gyflwr niwroddatblygiadol genetig hynod o brin. Pan gafwyd y diagnosis, daeth hefyd ddyfodol oedd yn llethol a dieithr.
Yn gyflym fe welodd fod cefnogaeth blynyddoedd cynnar i deuluoedd fel ei un hi yn gyfyng. Doedd dim ardaloedd penodol ar gyfer babanod a phlant ifanc oedd ag anghenion ychwanegol, a prin oedd y cyfleoedd i rieini gysylltu gydag eraill oedd yn ei deall yn llwyr.
Felly fe greodd Together Tots, gofod tawel, cynhwysol wedi ei gynllunio ar gyfer plant fel Annabel lle gall teuluoedd fynychu heb bwysau, lle mae gwahaniaethau yn cael eu deall, a lle mae croeso i bawb fel y maent.
Heddiw, gyda chefnogaeth gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol, mae Cymuned Blynyddoedd Cynnar Tots yn cefnogi 20-30 o deuluoedd bob wythnos ar draws eu sesiynau, gan helpu i leihau unigrwydd a chreu ymdeimlad o berthyn i deuluoedd yn y blynyddoedd cynnar.
Dyma beth oedd gan Fam ei ddweud am grŵp chwarae Together Tots:
“Mae Together Tots yn ofod diogel, tawel, a chynhwysol ar gyfer fy mhlentyn. Mae ganddo anghenion cymhleth ac mae Annie bob amser yn ei groesawu ac yn ei gynnwys ym mhob dim. Mae’r teganau sydd ganddi wedi eu seilio ar y synhwyrau sydd yn berffaith i fy mhlentyn sydd heb olwg.
Byddwn yn mynychu’r grŵp cyhyd ag y gallwn, rydym yn ei garu yno. Mae’n hyfryd cael siarad gyda rhieni eraill sy’n deall beth rydym yn mynd trwyddi.”
