We are delighted to invite friends, family and members of the local community to join us for our Heritage Days at Chapel House.

Our pupil History Hunters group will share the history of this wonderful building and how it has been central to life at the School before it is placed on the market for its next use in the community.

The event will enable you to have a guided tour of part of the building and refreshments will be enjoyed on arrival. Places are limited, please ensure you book your place via the link below:

Eloise Heap who is an old Habs girl (2006–2011) & still an active rower - chair of Curlew Rowing Club in east London, member of HRR stewards, attended the Monmouth picnic this year. She wanted to share a challenge she will be taking on in December 2027 — rowing the Atlantic as part of the World’s Toughest Row 🌊🚣‍♀️
Her pairs partner and her will row 3,000 nautical miles from La Gomera to Antigua, in 2-hour shifts, day and night, for around 35–55 days at sea. They will become one of only 24 (currently) mixed pairs ever to have rowed the Atlantic successfully.
They are currently in the early stages of training and fundraising, with a total target of £112,500 to cover the boat, safety equipment, food, logistics, and travel. Any funds raised beyond this will be donated to Samaritans.
She would love to tap into the Habs community for:
• Advice — if any of the old Habs girls/old Monmothians rowed the Atlantic or taken on a similar endurance expedition
• Support or sponsorship - or introductions to anyone who might be interested. They are open to calls and meetings for sponsorship opportunities as this challenge yields incredible exposure and coverage for companies sponsoring individuals taking on this challenge year on year!

Alongside other supportive activities across our school, we invite our community to support the Mayor’s Fund for residents affected by the devastating flooding in Monmouth.

The kindness shown across the town has been remarkable, but the need remains great — the Mayor has now set a new target of £100,000 to provide urgent help to affected families, businesses and community groups.
How our school community can help:

Friends of Monmouth Prep School are selling raffle tickets to raise money for the fund.
£2 per ticket / £10 per strip.
Please send cash in a labelled envelope, or request BACS details.

Join us for an unmissable evening of music in support of our town.
📅 Wednesday 26 November, 7pm
📍 The Blake Theatre
Expect a fantastic showcase of talent from across our schools, featuring dynamic performances from the Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, String Ensemble, Habs Harmony, Four Nice Guys, Wind Chamber Ensemble and String Quartet.
All proceeds from the evening will go to the Mayor’s Fund, with collections at the end of the concert.
