We enjoy relaxed walks with coffee stops, picnic breaks, and the occasional pub lunch or drink.

Wednesday 17th June – Wymondham Morning Walk

This is a short morning amble of approximately 4 miles from Wymondham.

Meet at the pub, postcode LE14 2AG at 10.00am

Please park on Main Street

There will be a coffee/snack break during the walk, with the possibility of a drink at the end.

A full-days walk in the Dark Peak District with the Leicester Group.

Approximately 16 miles

This will be a Strenuous days walking.

Please meet at the Fox & Hounds (LE15 8LY) at 9.30am.
This is a 10‑mile walk with a coffee stop & a picnic lunch.
There’s also the option for coffee & cake at Launde, and a drink back at the Pub at the end.

We’ve got two lovely walks this week — everyone’s welcome, and it’s a great chance to get out and stretch the legs.

🌞 Wednesday 3rd June – Scalford
A lovely Wednesday morning amble of around 5 miles to ease into the day.
From Scalford Village Hall, Sandy Lane, LE14 4DS at 10:00am
A relaxed route with a cheerful coffee/snack stop along the way.

🥾 Saturday 6th June – Castle Bytham / Little Bytham Loop.
A nice 8–9 mile wander through two pretty villages — perfect for a Saturday stretch.
Meet at the Castle entrance bottom of Water Lane / Glen Road junction at 9.30am.
Park on Glen Road, NG33 4RJ.
Coffee stop + picnic lunch, with a possible drink to finish.

Wednesday 27th May - Burrough on the Hill. Morning amble of 5 miles,

Please meet in the village at the junction of Main Street and Newbold Lane at 10.00am. This is just before The Stag and Hounds pub (LE14 2QJ; what3words: tingled.notch.tennis).

Please bring a drink for the coffee stop.
Unfortunately, the pub is temporarily closed.

A lovely day out yesterday — nine of us enjoying the sunshine, beautiful countryside and views of Belvoir Castle. A good, steady 12.7‑mile walk with a quick pub stop to round it off.

🌿 Wednesday 13th May – Evening Walk of 4.5 miles. 🌿

Queniborough LE7 3DB - Meet at The Britannia Inn at 6.30pm

Please do not park in the pub car park — parking is available on the surrounding roads.

There may be an opportunity for a drink at the pub afterwards. 🍺

Please note this is a different route from the walk on 25th April.

This is a 12.3 mile walk with a picnic lunch.
Please park in the lay-by before Geese and Fountain - NG32 1QR

🕤 Meet at 9.30am

Please bring a drink for the coffee stop.
The planned picnic stop is in Branston, although this may be earlier depending on progress on the day. There will also be an opportunity to visit The Wheel Inn in Branston before the final section back to Croxton Kerrial.

Also, a reminder about Saturday’s walk:

Saturday 9th May – Tugby Walk

Please meet at The Fox and Hounds pub (LE7 9WB) at 9:30am.

This is an 8.6-mile walk with a coffee stop and a pub lunch afterwards.

If you are eating at the pub later, you may park in their car park. Food orders will be taken before the start of the walk, so please arrive a little earlier if you wish to order food.

Those not eating at the pub are asked to park considerately in the village and bring a picnic lunch.

We expect to return to the start point between 1:30pm and 1:45pm.

Please bring a drink for the coffee stop. Expect some hills and beautiful views.
