We are incredibly proud to celebrate our club secretary, Michael, who has successfully conquered Scafell! 🗻

This was no small feat. An intense climb of over 3 miles of steep stone steps to reach the summit in 2 hours and 26 minutes, a round trip of over 570 miles and only 1 fall on the way down isn’t bad going! 🫣

So far, Michael has raised a fantastic £685 for the club! We want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported him and donated to this cause your generosity makes a real difference to our club. 💰

We had an absolutely fantastic time at our latest social night at The Lost City Adventure Golf in Nottingham!

It was brilliant to see such a great turnout, with 20 of us joining in on the fun. Seeing our community grow like this is incredibly rewarding, and it made for a high-energy evening of friendly competition on the course.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, chat, and help make our club feel more vibrant than ever. Moments like these where we get together and just enjoy each other's company are what it’s all about.

We are absolutely buzzing to share that one of our members is taking on a massive challenge for a great cause! On June 5th, they will be climbing Scafell Pike—the highest mountain in England—to raise vital funds for Melton Young Lions.

Every penny raised through their GoFundMe will go directly toward helping our mission of supporting young adults within the local community. We are dedicated to providing a space where people can Connect, Thrive, and Belong, and fundraisers like this are what allow us to keep growing and hosting the socials and support networks that make such a difference here in Melton.

Taking on the 978-meter summit is no small feat, and we couldn't be prouder to have members who are so passionate about giving back. Let’s show our support and help them smash their fundraising goal!

The Royal British Legion are hosting a fantastic day of Bric-a-Brac, craft stalls, and a tombola on Saturday, August 1st, from 10 am to 2 pm.

It’s the perfect chance to clear out some cupboards or show off your creative side. Tables are available to book for just £10—if you’re interested, please get in touch with the Legion directly to grab one.

We are incredibly proud to share the news of a special joint donation made to Sherard Primary School by Melton Young Lions and Melton Mowbray Lions!

While our Secretary, Michael, and Dave from Melton Lions were on hand for the presentation, the real star of the show was Grace.

Grace, an ex-Sherard pupil, first pitched her vision for a "Friendship Bench" when she was in Year 6. She delivered an amazing presentation to Melton Lions to raise funds, but she didn’t stop there. Her determination and passion for this project continued even after she moved on to high school, and it is her incredible hard work that eventually led to our joint donation of £500 to the school.

Grace, your community spirit is an inspiration to us all—you are definitely a future Young Lion (and Lion!) in the making.

Well done for seeing your project through and making such a positive impact on your old school!

We love being part of a town where young people like Grace take the lead to make things better for others. It’s a perfect example of what can happen when we work together to help our community Connect, Thrive, and Belong.

🎳 Strike! 🎳

We’ve recovered from an incredible social night at Tenpin Nottingham last night!

We were looking back at our bowling trip last year when we had 9 people head out. Last night? We had 20 hitting the lanes! 📈 Seeing the club more than double in size for this event is such a testament to the amazing community we’re building together here in Melton.

From the high-scorers to the "queen/king of the gutters," the energy was electric. It’s nights like these—filled with laughter, a bit of friendly rivalry, and great conversation—that remind us why we do what we do. It’s all about providing that space to Connect, Thrive, and Belong.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable night. The growth of this club is down to the brilliant people who show up and make every event a blast!

What an absolutely incredible evening!

A massive thank you to Chris and the entire team at Melton & District Model Club for hosting us. Your expertise and hospitality made the night run like clockwork, and we are so grateful for hosting us. It’s local gems like the Model Club that make our town such a vibrant place to live!

From the high-speed overtakes to the inevitable (and hilarious) wipeouts, the energy in the room was brilliant. We are all about these unique experiences where our members can de-stress, have a laugh, and genuinely Connect, Thrive, and Belong. It was fantastic to see everyone getting stuck in—this is definitely a social night we’ll be putting back on the calendar again soon!

🎯 🎯 Our Darts & Pizza night was fully attended well before the cut-off date on Friday, which just goes to show how popular these socials have become in the Young Lions community. It was amazing to see the room buzzing with so many familiar and new faces with plenty of friendly rivalry!

🏆 A huge congratulations to Rorie, our Champion once again! You played a blinder and truly earned the win.

🥈 A massive shoutout to our runner-up, Stephen Kuzmicz!
