A different week finished off with the hot weather:
🧭Explorers : part of the Group Wide Games in Honley Woods.
⚜️Scouts : orienteering at Bradley Wood Scout Campsite
🐺Cubs : water activities in our stream, a water slide, water fight and then investitures.
🦫 Beavers : went to Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team and heard all about what they do.
💚 Group : we held our Group AGM at the start of the wide games

A summary of this week:
🧭Explorers : a litter pick along Meltham Mills. Thank you to Friends of Honley for lending us the equipment.
⚜️Scouts : bridge building over (and in!) the stream.
🐺Cubs : went to Eden's Forest CIC, played games in the woods and sang campfire songs. Thank you to Eden's Forest for letting us use their base.
🦫Beavers : nature exploring, including bark rubbing, in Robert Ashton Park.

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to our Coffee Morning & Indoor Market yesterday!

Whether you bought a piece of cake, enjoyed a bacon butty, grabbed a coffee or supported one of our brilliant local stall holders, thank you for helping make the morning such a success. It was brilliant to see the SFP Meltham walking group down too.

And thank you as well to everyone who bought cake from us at Beaumont Park junior parkrun this morning, your support really does make a difference!

Across the weekend, we raised an amazing £293.25 for the Scout Group 🎉

These events only work because of the support from our local community and we’re so grateful to everyone who came through the doors.

Missed this one? Don’t worry, our next Coffee Morning & Indoor Market is on Saturday 11th July and we’d love to see even more people there! Bring your friends, family and neighbours and help support local businesses, local Scouting and your local community.

Another different week for all our sections:
🧭Explorers : using W3W and finding Hathi around Meltham. Understanding the importance of different location apps.
⚜️ Scouts : making flags then having a go at semaphore on our field
🐺 Cubs : den building in Honley Woods and finding out if they were waterproof!
🦫 Beavers : making Father's Day / significant other card.

Our final figures are in the for the raffle. Thank you so much to everyone who bought a ticket! A massive £2,214.20. All funds raised support Scouting in Meltham,
If you were not at the draw and won a prize, we will be in contact with you shortly.
Thank you to all the businesses who donated a prize and Morrisons Meltam for allowing us to sell tickets there a couple of weeks ago.
