Light Up The Pleasure Grounds

Light Up event cancelled
🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️
We are so sorry to announce that we have taken the decision to cancel our Light Up event this weekend. As you can see, the forecast for Saturday is awful and it would be such a shame if all the lanterns were ruined.
Thank you to everyone who had worked so hard to create the displays… we will reschedule, probably in the New Year.
Thanks also to River Holme Connections, who have cleared the footpaths for us today.

If you think you could do something like this and want to join our amazing team, then message the page or email [email protected] .

Thank you to Anne & Lauren for organising on behalf of 10th Holme Valley - New Mill Scouts and Meltham Scout Group - 5th Holme Valley .

🚂 Explorers: Race the Train!

Tonight, our Explorers met at Lockwood railway station, caught the train to Honley then walked through the darkness to Brockholes railway station to catch the train back to Lockwood.

Along the way, they met their leaders in a field for a spot of stargazing and managed to find Polaris, the North Star. 🌟

It was also a fitting night to invest two new Explorers into . With Polaris shining above us, we welcomed them into the unit named after that very star. A pretty special way to mark the occasion!

Welcome to the adventure!
