We are pleased to report that Luke has improved with 1-1 nursing & although his health will never return 100% his condit...

We are pleased to report that Luke has improved with 1-1 nursing & although his health will never return 100% his condition can be managed. His weight is now 4.2kg from 3.8kg.
His fluid intake daily must exceed 200ml, which is more than he is drinking so we are syringing the required amount to keep him stable just in case he refuses to drink at any of our fountains.
Luke has transferred to Royal Cain Renal biscuits really well and now only has roast chicken as a treat. He dislikes anything in gravy so renal pouches are off the menu for now.
We will keep posted.🩷

After paying £1800 for the extended Catio just to be built we are very concerned about the fact that our Enya ( luckily a very socially responsible kitty) walked through a breach in the wire that NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED!
We check all Catio’s every morning so this came as a shock 😳. Breach now closed and the entire Catio will now be re nailed. We asked for overlap of the netting & clearly this hasn’t happened. Big storm ☔️ overhead so I’m signing off- meows 🐱

It is with great sadness that I have to report that our wonderful kind and caring Therapy cat Luke The Duke of Marmalade has CKD Chronic Kidney Disease.
Unfortunately it can run on from his Feline calicivirus . Luke is only a young cat so I am working very hard with our vet team to elevate symptoms and manage his condition. Luckily red flags 🚩 were promptly raised, identified and tests undertaken.
