This week, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Gardening Group volunteers.

From transforming what was once a blank canvas into a beautiful, thriving community garden, to nurturing plants, maintaining wildlife habitats, and creating welcoming outdoor spaces for the families we support. Your time, skills, enthusiasm and care make a lasting difference to everyone who visits and enjoys these special spaces.

Thank you for every seed planted, every w**d pulled, every project completed, and every hour generously given. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

From all of us at Hetty’s, thank you for helping our gardens, and our community, grow. 🌻🌿

Our group sessions have come around quickly after the long weekend…
It’s been a busy start to May for the gardening group. Green shoots are popping up everywhere and there has been lots to re-pot or to plant on into our beds around the building.
As with every week, we have been progressing through our Horticultural course nicely and gaining lots of new knowledge - thank you to Trevor from Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College.

Our craft group session was again focused on summer-inspired designs with lots of new ideas discussed for the coming weeks.

End of the week roundup at Hetty’s…

The settled weather has given our gardening group lots to work on, from sowing seeds and planting flowers to watering and tidying of our work areas. Thank you to our expert guide Trevor from Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College as always 🙌🏻

Our craft group have been busy doing some lovely summer-inspired plaques this week with some members trying decoupage on slate for the very first time - well done everyone 💜

What a glorious day for our gardening group to spend outdoors yesterday!

This morning I had the pleasure of handing over 40 Easter eggs to Hetty's which our customers had very kindly donated over the last couple of weeks and also added a donation of around 12 eggs on behalf of Morrisons.

It’s been a busy day for the Gardening group at Hetty's today!
Lots of seeds sown - pansies, viola, sweet peas, Nigella & Candytuft to name a few.

A huge thank you to the fantastic team from National Grid Connections Department who came to Hetty’s today to volunteer their time for their Team Building Day! 💜

Your energy, teamwork and willingness to get stuck in has made a real difference. So much was achieved in just one day, and we are incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown to our charity and the families we work with.

Days like today remind us how powerful community support can be. Thank you for giving your time to help us continue supporting families affected by someone else’s substance misuse.

We truly appreciate it! 💜
