The youth centre has been given a freshen up over Easter and looks refreshed outside and in. The bright new furniture has been welcomed by some and others were a little disappointed to loose the comfort of the old 😀 Wednesday seniors have been encouraged to try new foods that aim to boost brain power! as they prepare for their G.C.S.E's starting soon, every Wednesday will be focused to support them during this important time. Thursday members took part in brand Vs none brand food and snack taster challenges encouraging young people to consider shopping costs and value for money. We will also be asking all members to complete our annual satisfaction survey so please join us this week and next to ensure you get the opportunity to share your views on Nottinghamshire County Council youth service provision here at Gara, the information gathered can provide important information to the local government, when working out their budget priorities. Looking forward to seeing all our junior members this evening 🤗

Friday juniors climbing wall activity was a fabulous night, all young people who took part achieved so much, a special thanks to our Lucy who helped coordinate all the group and encouraged every young person to have a go and try something new and for just being such a valuable helper at our amazing youth cllub. Next generation of youth workers are in the making 🏆 through our 4uth volunteer award scheme,and Lucy will be definitely aiming for her silver or possibly Gold award by this time next year!

What a great week at Gara ypc, over 100 young people have enjoyed the fun and safe space we work hard with our young people to provide again this week. Tonight's session finished with the mill adventure based climbing wall .It was a privilege to see so many trying their best , I even surprised myself that I still found the energy to take part and get quite hight!!! It was coming down that was a challenge lol. Wishing you all a fun but safe Easter break from all the youth service team at Gara ypc 💗
