Errol would like to announce his adoption. Forever home with his new mum and no longer in pain thanks to our Golden Paw Club members. This little man deserves the world 🐶😍

Errol was found abandoned on the roadside in Romania. With his toothy look no one was going to choose him. But that made us want to give him his chance even more.

When he had his vet check here we discovered he had an unhealed fractured to his jaw caused by some trauma. We got him in for a thorough investigation and dental, which included him getting his jaw wired. Errol had been surviving without letting on he was in any pain.

He's now had the wire removed and made a full recovery and is living his absolute best life with his new mum Jean who fell in love with him the moment she met him!

Some words from Jean
“He is such a delight, he has only barked 5 times since he came to live with me. One time, when I fell asleep and he wanted my attention!!!! He's becoming a Mummy's boy!!
He is popular with all the dogs we meet when we are out and about. So laid back, the owners are impressed and ask questions about where he came from and I happily tell them his story.”

Jean’s daughter added

“My mum is totally in love with him he’s changed her life and has helped to fill the void my dad left”.

It is so heartwarming to see Errol and Jean give each other such love and companionship. Please wish them a wonderful life together 💜

Miss Minnie would like to announce her adoption and say thank you to Andrea from CYPRUS DOG RESCUE for being her saviour.

Minnie, was Kara, was in a terrible state when she came into Andrea’s care - needing urgent treatment for a dangerous bladder infection. Nursed back to good health she came to us at the beginning of March.

A week after arriving she went on trial with Melanie and her family, along with their other D4R/Cyprus Dog Rescue Scooby (was Marley).

Melanie takes the story from here:

“We all know the 3 x3 rule when re homing a rescue, well it appears Miss Minnie didn’t get that memo, the day we brought her home, she did a tour of the house than made herself quite comfortable on our bed, she slept till dinner time than slept some more, from the very 1st moment she was home.

Minnie has been an absolute dream, fitting into our pack perfectly, she has lovely manners and is doing wonderfully learning to walk on the lead. She loves a visit to one of the many dog parks we have here on the Wirral, and seeing her run at full speed is an absolute joy.

Minnie’s favourite things is cuddles and she is very generous with everyone, no one gets left out, she has the most loving nature, and we consider ourselves truly blessed to be able to give Minnie her forever home and want to say a huge thank you to Andrea in Cyprus and yourselves for for rescuing her.

We know it will make Andrea so happy to see two of her dogs together living the dream. If you’ve got room for one more on your sofa please do get in touch.

We have gently expanded May’s world since she returned to the rescue, with the help of our visiting behaviourist Charlene who knows her better than anyone.

May is a dog who needs to stay with us. She is the product of bad breeding, profoundly deaf and with eyes that receive light differently. So we are doing all we can to make her life as rich as possible - getting all her cuddles in but also making some dog friends.

This is what not giving up on a dog looks like. Unconditionally loved by the team and her Auntie Charlene, and all the volunteers who walked and sat with her when she was being assessed at The Hayloft Pet Services 💜

Just look how happy handicans Panda and Candy are in their forever foster home. Candy has spent the last month settling in meanwhile Panda’s coming up to her 6 month gotcha anniversary 🥰

Two disabled girls who we saved when their rescue was shutting down. Now in the most loving home with their forever foster mum Suzanne who we cannot thank enough for giving them the retirement home they deserve.

Some words from Suzanne:
“Both girls have been showing their full personalities and we now get to see their giddy sides too. Panda’s playbows and high fives, then them both spinning around and being really playful. Candy has also played a bit of tuggy with Finlay too. She likes the toy box!

Panda wants to be a musical theatre star! We get serenaded at meal times (she literally sings for her supper) and then the dancing starts when I’m getting ready to put the bowls down. Yes they are a big commitment but so worth it and bring so much joy.”

Seeing Panda and Candy having such an amazing time in a home, we want to try and find the same for handican Clive. If you’re looking for a dog who will steal your heart, make you laugh daily, and remind you just how resilient dogs can be, Clive might just be your boy. Link in the comments 👇
