We are incredibly grateful to the Gilbert Elliot Memorial Trust for their generous donation of £3,000 to support our wraparound care coordination programme in Scotland.

The Gilbert Elliot Memorial Trust was established to commemorate the memory of Gilbert Wilkie Elliot, a young man who like so very many of his generation, died in the trenches during the First World War.

Their ongoing commitment to honouring his legacy is making a real difference to veterans who need our support the most.

Good luck to Rebel Tribesman who has been declared to run at Newton Abbot 🐴

Did you know: share owners of Rebel are helping to raise up to £35,000 to support veterans on their path back to civilian life.

This money could support 30 veterans into employment, or support 30 veterans through our intensive, face-to-face therapy programmes.

Rebel Tribesman has been declared to run at Newton Abbot on September 18th in the 16:22 Colin Willcocks Memorial Handicap Hurdle over 2m5½f. In what will be his final race before heading to Chepstow for the Persian War.

💈 Every employment journey is unique.

Recently, two veterans in Scotland achieved positive career outcomes through wraparound care coordination support. One individual received guidance to develop a business plan and pursue self-employment as a barber, while another benefited from careers advice and successfully secured employment after completing their studies.

These journeys demonstrate how tailored support can help veterans overcome barriers and take the next step towards fulfilling careers.

🍂 What was once an overgrown, inaccessible garden is now a space full of potential thanks to the power of community and the dedication of our friends at Veterans Support Service CIC.

In Bourne, a veteran facing health challenges can now safely enjoy their outdoor space again. A single day, plenty of teamwork, and a few sarnies and hot drinks later, we’ve cleared the way for brighter days ahead.

Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves!

Thanks to a generous £10,000 grant from the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Walking With The Wounded has been able to make receiving support a little easier for RAF veterans and their families.

Over the course of the grant, which concluded in June 2026, we supported 241 RAF veterans.

We are grateful to the RAF Benevolent Fund for their continued support and partnership.
