Walking With The Wounded

Walking With The Wounded For many, the transition to civvy life is relatively smooth. We exist to provide support for veterans who need it the most.

Page responses: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm At Walking With The Wounded, we support those who have served in the military with mental health, employment and wraparound care coordination programmes tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Whether mentally, socially or physically wounded, we provide bespoke services dedicated to getting those who have fallen the furthest back on track and moving forward once more.

Shoutout to our incredible supporters taking on the Priory Ultra 100km - a 62‑mile, 24‑hour challenge from Bamburgh Castle to Tynemouth Priory.

In their words: “Our good friend Basher introduced us to this charity, which is very close to his heart.”

They’ve already raised an amazing £2,720. We’re so grateful for their support.

🌹 82 years on, we remember those who served during the largest combined naval, air and land operation in the history of warfare.

Behind the numbers - 10,000 killed, wounded, or missing - are stories of real people and families.

At Walking With The Wounded, we honour their legacy by supporting veterans and families facing new challenges today.

We’re delighted to receive a £10,000 grant from Houghton Dunn Charitable Trust to support veterans in the North West.

This funding will help power our mental health, employment and wraparound care coordination programmes - supporting veterans like Dean, who, after struggling post-service, rebuilt his life with WWTW support and now runs a thriving business.

💬 “The support helped me move forward and build something new. Now I want to give back and support other veterans.”

Support Walking With The Wounded today, and you will make a life-changing difference to ex-Forces personnel throughout the UK

⚓ Thanks to funding from Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), we can continue delivering our employment, mental health and wraparound care programmes to Royal Navy and Royal Marine veterans who need them most.

Generous funding from organisations like RNRMC supports veterans like Darren, a former Royal Marine: "Without Kelly, I wouldn’t be here. While I was drinking and in rehab, my finances fell apart. I was about to lose my home and was chased for a large debt I didn’t owe. It was overwhelming—I was in a very bad place. Kelly listened, went the extra mile, and helped me put things right."
