Walking With The Wounded

Walking With The Wounded For many, the transition to civvy life is relatively smooth. We exist to provide support for veterans who need it the most.

Page responses: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm At Walking With The Wounded, we support those who have served in the military with mental health, employment and wraparound care coordination programmes tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Whether mentally, socially or physically wounded, we provide bespoke services dedicated to getting those who have fallen the furthest back on track and moving forward once more.

A veteran, recently facing homelessness following a period of personal crisis, now finds themselves in a calmer and more positive place thanks to Walking With The Wounded’s intervention.

At the time, they were experiencing significant mental health challenges, causing them to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. Through emergency funding, we were able to secure temporary accommodation, providing immediate safety and stability while longer-term support was put in place.

With counselling, practical support, and a clear plan in place, this veteran is no longer facing their challenges alone. Demonstrating how timely intervention can help veterans regain stability and confidence when they need it most.
