We recently lost a beautiful, bright soul from our Luton community. Our beloved brother, Bilal Nisar, was just 17 years old when his life was tragically cut short. To everyone who knew him, Bilal was a remarkable young man whose kindness, warmth, and infectious smile brought so much light into our lives.
As we navigate this unimaginable grief, we want to channel our love for Bilal into a noble cause that will honor his memory forever.
The Luton community has set up an official Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) project through the One Nation charity to build a beautiful mosque in Uganda in Bilal's eternal name: Masjid Bilal.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever constructs a masjid for Allah, Allah will construct for him a house in Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
Every brick laid, every prayer offered, and every child who learns the Qur'an within the walls of this Masjid will bring ongoing rewards and eternal peace to Bilal in the Hereafter.
About Masjid Bilal:
The mosque will serve a deserving village community in Uganda with a capacity for 120 worshippers. The project will fully provide:
* A dedicated prayer area
* Wudu facilities & toilets
* Speakers, lighting, & carpets
* Copies of the Holy Qur'an
* Open-day feeding programs for the local community
Please join us in this noble cause. No family should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child so young, but together, we can turn our shared grief into a legacy of light, mercy, and peace for Bilal.
We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his sins, showers him with His endless mercy, and grants him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. 🤲
