🔥 Heatwaves are dangerous especially for people experiencing homelessness 🔥
When we think about homelessness, most of us only think about the cold freezing nights, winter hardship, snow and ice ❄️
It’s easy to assume that once the weather warms up, the suffering stops. But that simply isn’t true.
Extreme heat brings its own life‑threatening challenges. When temperatures rise, having nowhere cool to go, no constant access to water, no shade or way to escape the sun can be just as dangerous as freezing conditions.
Many people sleeping rough face extreme risks: dehydration, heat exhaustion, sunstroke and existing health conditions getting worse risks most of us never have to worry about.
At Noah’s Welfare Centre, we’re working hard to support those most vulnerable during this hot weather. We provide:
✅ Cold water & drinks
✅ Sun protection & hats
✅ Light food & snacks
✅ Toiletries & cooling supplies
✅ A safe, cool space to rest
🤝 Small acts save lives🤝
