🏖️ Beavers at the beach 🏖️ What a lovely evening for our visit to Hopeman Beach 💙 🌊 We were continuing to work on our Adventure Challenge Award so this was a beach visit with a purpose! We did some very productive rockpooling and made some excellent sand sculptures. Things we found rockpooling include:

✅ Sea snails
✅ Limpits
✅ Sea Anemones
✅ Teeny crabs
✅ Starfish
✅ Jellyfish
✅ Hermit Crabs
✅ Mermaids 🧜🏻‍♀️ 🤔

👀 More outdoor fun next week.......den building in the woods!

Next sessions we will be at Hopeman Beach for some rock pooling and sand sculptures 😁
Can everyone please come in appropriate clothing (as per the usual Scottish summer, that could mean shorts, sunscreen & sun hat, or winter coat, woolly hat & gloves 😆) and wellie boots (if possible). Beaver uniform is still required. A bucket and spade or a fishing net would be nice, but not an essential.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Last night was all about developing the skills and attitudes necessary to be a successful team. The Cubs took part in a series of tricky challenges that tested their communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Working together was harder than they expected! They showed great resilience and enthusiasm as they tackled each new problem and were always eager to figure out the solution.

What a fantastic day the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers had at Landmark yesterday! 🌟

From conquering fears of heights to taking on the thrilling water slides, everyone was on the go all day! They explored amazing optical illusions, tackled new challenges, and made the most of every adventure on offer.

The weather was mostly kind to us too, with only a few showers trying (and failing!) to dampen our spirits! ☀️🌦️

Most importantly, every member of the group represented Lossie brilliantly. Their behaviour, encouragement of one another and positive attitudes made us incredibly proud. They were a credit to the group from start to finish.

A big BRAVO goes out to all the leaders who gave up their time to make this trip possible. From planning and organising to keeping everyone safe and making sure the day ran smoothly, without them, days like this wouldn't be possible. 💙👏

A huge thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Parents, Leaders and Exec who helped raise a whipping £963.94 at our bagpack at Tesco last weekend! Your support is very much appreciated.

***BEAVERS***

It was all about the Gardener's Badge tonight 🌿🌻🪴 We had a show and tell of tools that we use in the garden 🪏 and watched 2 informative videos on what a successful garden needs to grow plants and the structure of seedlings. Then we had to select the items we needed to carry out certain garden tasks, like pruning a hedge! ✂️ We even managed to squeeze in a game about our food sources! Oh, and not forgetting......We have a new Beaver of the Month 👏🏼🎉

My apologies, I had a planned post to go out on our page but for some reason it hasn’t posted. We had planned on gardening this week at the high school, but unfortunately it won’t be able to go ahead. We have got a new start tonight, and will be planning to complete our gardeners badge with different activities at the scout hall instead.
