lly qualified and skilled staff. The Manager and eight practitioners care for the children with moderate to complex needs in a safe and stimulating environment, encouraging them through planned therapeutic activities and meeting their learning needs in order to help them reach their full potential. The centre requires over £120,000 every year to operate and has a shortfall of around £50,000 to find to top up the statutory funding. This is raised by the efforts of a voluntary committee, local people and businesses, and applications to grant funders. Help from interested parties is always welcome, either to assist financially or in kind, or to offer a few hours when required to help with fund-raising events.
