From sculpture and ceramics, to oil, acrylic and watercolour, to pencil, photography and glass; the artwork on display at the Wimbledon Art Trail organised by Katie Preston & Katharine Rowe covered all mediums and was truly inspiring. Here are a few snaps from our visit to Colin Fitzpatrick on the trail, where we spoke to the artists about their brilliant creations. It really is a beautiful day! At Wimblecomm we love nothing more than helping our local community to flourish. And that’s exactly the objective of today’s little mission: helping our friends at Merton Garden Streets, part of Sustainable Merton, to deliver plants to local Merton residents this Sustainable September, in advance of the upcoming Planting Days on the weekend of 19-20 September. If you’re not already signed up to plant or support, and want to get involved in the next one, head to our website where we’ve posted info on how to get involved. For those who are involved this month - happy planting and enjoy nurturing. Commons Open Day this Sunday 13th September, 10.30am – 5pm.

The popular annual community day returns to Manor Cottage Meadow on Sunday, celebrating the Commons with a look behind the scenes at the Commons stables, equestrian displays, local craft stalls, music and delicious food and drink!

Arena: the heart of the event will host impressive displays by the Household Cavalry, the BMX show and Birds of Prey.

Canine chums will feature in Musical Mats for dogs and the much-loved Wacky Dog Show – enter your dog in one (or more) classes from Most Handsome Dog to Scruffiest Mutt.

Wimbledon Art Trail 2026 is here this weekend! 🖼️ 🎨

Over 80 artists and makers will be exhibiting and selling their work in 34 locations across Wimbledon for one weekend this September 12th and 13th. All within 1 mile of Wimbledon Station. Sustainable September is here! And we're right behind it.

First up is 'Sustainable September SW19' from Love Wimbledon and Wimbledon Quarter. The month-long programme includes:

Shopping Weekend: 5-6 September. Discover sustainable shopping with the popular Goldsmith Vintage Kilo Sale, pre-loved finds and a local makers' market showcasing independent artisans.

Fashion Weekend: 11-13 September. Celebrate conscious style with a catwalk show, ethical brands and inspiring fashion experiences that prove sustainability never goes out of style. Wimbledon charity shops will also showcase their best pre-loved finds, including Royal Trinity Hospice, Scope, British Heart Foundation, Oxfam and Cancer Research UK.

Reloved Weekend: 19-20 September. Learn to repair, restore and reimagine everyday items through Sustainable Merton's popular Repair Café and Domestic & General promoting repair tips for white goods in Wimbledon Quarter, helping to reduce waste and extend the life of much-loved possessions. Don't miss free family activities and workshops on The Piazza.

Wellness Weekend: 26–27 September.
Experience Sustainable Discovery's curated programme of conscious wellness brands and immersive experiences, encouraging visitors to explore the connection between personal wellbeing and sustainable living.
