UJIA's impact in Israel

In the Galil, northern Israel, we regenerate areas of need through investment in education to ensure a positive future for its people. The Galil is a beautiful but underdeveloped region, which is strategically vulnerable due to its close proximity to the Lebanon border. We are transforming the educational landscape of the Galil, investing in primary and secondary schools,

colleges and universities. These new buildings create focal points for the sustainable development of the Galil. In addition, we fund educational programmes which improve the standard of learning in schools, encourage young people to engage with their communities and support the transition from education to employment. UJIA's impact in the UK

In the UK we strengthen young people's knowledge, faith and Jewish identity through a meaningful connection with their heritage. UJIA is focused on shaping the next generation of the Jewish community, enabling them to strengthen their understanding and commitment to their heritage with Israel at its heart. We work in four areas; Jewish youth movements, Jewish day schools, Jewish students and engagement with Israel.

FZY summer, that's a wrap! 🇮🇱

Weeks of adventure, discovery and connection have come to an end, and what a journey it's been.

Participants have crossed the country, taking in breathtaking landscapes and standing in some of Israel's most historically and religiously significant places, all while building a deeper bond with their Jewish heritage and identity.

But this trip was about more than the places they visited. It was the laughter, the ruach and the friendships forged along the way that made this summer truly unforgettable.

Another incredible Bnei Akiva UK Israel Machane! 🇮🇱

Over the past few weeks, participants have travelled the length and breadth of Israel, combining adventure, learning and meaningful experiences at every turn. From hiking through stunning landscapes to visiting some of the country's most significant historical and religious sites, the group has deepened their connection to Jewish history, heritage and identity.

Alongside the exploring, there's been plenty of fun, laughter and ruach, with friendships formed that will last far beyond Israel Machane itself.

The Ezra girls have embraced everything Tour has to offer, from days by the sea and exciting new experiences to exploring Israel's incredible landscapes and history.

Alongside all the fun, they've strengthened their connection to their Jewish identity through visits to significant religious and historic sites, meaningful moments at the Kotel and opportunities to reflect, learn and celebrate together.

Most importantly, they've built lifelong friendships and shared experiences they'll carry with them long after their trip comes to an end.

Ezra boys have made the most of an incredible few weeks in Israel, combining adventure, friendship and meaningful experiences. 🇮🇱

From watersports and time by the sea to camel riding in the desert, there's been plenty of fun along the way. The group also visited significant biblical sites, as well as the Western Wall, deepening their connection to Jewish history and heritage.

A particularly powerful moment was spending Tisha B'Av at the Western Wall, marking the day together in a setting of such deep religious significance.

It has been a fantastic summer on Sinai Youth Israel Tour! 🇮🇱

Last night, the group experienced abseiling at Mitzpe Ramon, camel riding in the desert and a night of Bedouin hospitality, before waking early to climb Masada. Davening Shacharit at the top of Masada as the sun rose above the horizon was an incredibly meaningful way to end their journey, strengthening that deep connection between the Jewish people and the history of this land.

Over the course of Tour, Sinai have travelled the length and breadth of the country, exploring their Jewish identity and experiencing Israel like never before!

FZY's final few days brought together everything that has made Tour so special: heritage, learning, adventure and friendship. 🇮🇱

Groups thirteen, fourteen, fifteen and sixteen took in breathtaking views from Mount Gilboa, learning about its significance in Tanach and Jewish history, before an afternoon of laughter and water-filled fun at Aqua Kef. A final Shabbat gave everyone the chance to slow down and appreciate the friendships they'd built together.

Their journey ended with a deeply meaningful visit to the Kotel, a powerful moment to reflect on their shared heritage and everything they'd experienced in Israel.

The places they visited will stay important, but it's the friendships and memories that will stay with them long after they return home.

The FZY Israel Tour adventure continues with another brilliant mix of learning, heritage and fun. The groups explored ancient Caesarea, discovering the stories held within its ruins and learning about the many layers of history that have shaped Israel and the Jewish people’s connection to the land.

They also experienced Israel through their own feet, hiking across its incredible landscapes, taking in the views and learning more about the places around them. Of course, there was plenty of time for fun too, cooling off in the water after a busy day.

These experiences are about far more than simply visiting new places. They bring Jewish history and heritage to life, deepen participants’ connection with Israel and create friendships and memories that will stay with them long after Tour ends.
