On behalf of everyone at Mavar, Happy Chanukah!!
Just last week a small group of Mavar supporters were lucky to be led by a Mavar member in making chanukah gifts of resin mezuzahs and coasters. Whilst she skilfully, and easily led us in this process, we got to hear how for over five years Mavar has played a pivotal role in how she has created a life for herself that has meaning, purpose and satisfaction.
We heard how her mentor has offered her support at all times of the day or night in areas that mattered most to her. We heard how education was key to becoming the woman that she is today. We heard how grateful she is that an organisation like ours existed so she did not have to navigate creating her life all alone.
This chanukah, Mavar received the amazing gift of matched funding from a long standing supporter. We would like to ask you to give as much as you can at this time. Every pound we raise will be matched and will go directly towards helping our members.
All of our members are on a journey that is unique to them - some do leave the community, some stay and need education support. None of this would be possible without generous donations that fund our education and mental wellbeing work.
