We’re getting ready for the Tesco Winter Food Collection (26–28 November), and we need an amazing team of volunteers in stores UK-wide!

Every item of food donated by shoppers and collected by our volunteers goes straight to our network of charities, helping them provide warm, nutritious meals to individuals and families who need it most. The more volunteers we have on the ground, the more food we can rescue and distribute.

No experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a desire to help. It's a great way to give back, meet new people, and support the fight against food waste and food insecurity.

🚛💚 Turning empty lorry space into more meals for people in need.

We've been working with partners across the food and logistics industry to launch a new AI-powered platform that matches surplus food with spare space on lorries already travelling across the UK.

Think of it as "speed dating for trucks" 🚚✨

By making better use of journeys that are already happening, we can rescue more food, reduce waste, cut carbon emissions, and lower transport costs. That means more of our resources can go where they matter most: helping people facing hunger.

Early trials have already shown incredible results, moving more food to charities while reducing miles on the road, emissions, and costs.

It's a powerful example of what can happen when technology, collaboration, and a shared purpose come together to make every journey count. 💚

Did you know every year over a billion meals’ worth of great quality food goes to waste? That's enough to feed every child in the UK for a month. It's hard to picture, isn't it?

But what if this food was right in front of you? Mountains of mangos dumped outside your office. Towers of tomatoes tipped outside your school. Imagine if piles of potatoes filled your local park or village green.
Imagine if all the food that is wasted ended up on our doorsteps. You'd want to change that.

That’s why today we’re launching our Redistribution Revolution, and we want you to join us.

First day on the farm complete!

And what a glorious day it was! Huge thank you to Schroders, innocent, and for joining us for a fantastic day of apple picking down in Kent.

With the sun shining down on us, we managed to pick over 2.5 tonnes of delicious apples that are already making there way to schools and community organisations.
