☀️ Holiday Food & Fun (HAF) Programme Greenwich - Information Session ☀️

Could your organisation help deliver exciting holiday activities and healthy food for children and young people across Greenwich?

RBG are looking for organisations to deliver as part of the Department for Education's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme for children and young people aged 4-16 years.

They're looking to hear from organisations that:
✅ Deliver engaging activities for children and young people
✅ Have strong safeguarding practices
✅ Can deliver within Greenwich
✅ Have experience of similar programmes and achieving positive outcomes
✅ Take an inclusive approach to their work

Whether you're an existing HAF provider or interested in delivering for the first time, you are welcome to join.

The session will cover:
• The Approved Provider List (APL) process
• Applying for funding for Winter 2026 and Spring 2027 delivery
• Expectations for organisations delivering HAF activities in Greenwich

📢 Funding Opportunity for Greenwich VCFS Organisations

The Strength in People themed grants are now open as part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich's VCFS Grant Programme 2027 to 2031. Organisations can apply for funding across a range of priority areas, including carers, SEND, volunteering, homelessness support, community activities, creative health and more. Applications opened on 14 September 2026 and close on 26 October 2026.

📢 Local organisations working with young people in Greenwich: please share this opportunity with the young people you support. Wondering CIC and SEL Mind are recruiting 18-30 year olds for a collaborative filmmaking project exploring mental health and wellbeing. Participants will gain new skills, create films with peers, and receive £100 for completing the programme. Applications close on 4 September.

Greenwich Healthier Communities Funding is Now Open!

Micro Grants and Enabling Grants: Open for applications from 22 May 2026 to 14 December 2026, with awards made on an ongoing basis. Both strands offer grants of up to £5,000.

Micro Grants: Total budget of £150,000 to support pilot projects or the continued development of small, focused initiatives.

Enabling Grants: Total budget of £50,000 to provide developmental and capacity-building support for local organisations based in Greenwich.

Delivery Small Grants: Grants of £5,001 to £20,000 are also open. Awards will be made after the closing date of 14 December 2026

📢 New funding opportunity for youth organisations in London

The Mayor of London has announced more than £30 million of investment to support youth clubs across the capital, helping to fund at least one late-night youth club in every London borough.

The funding will help youth clubs stay open later and for longer, giving young Londoners safe, welcoming places to go on weekday evenings, weekends and during school holidays.

Youth organisations can find out more about the programme, including key dates, guidance and eligibility criteria, on the Mayor of London website below. There is also a pre-application webinar taking place tomorrow, Thursday 23 July, at 15:00.

Last week marked a new chapter for Bexley Voluntary Service Council as we began supporting Greenwich’s voluntary, community and faith sector. We’re proud to be building on the strong legacy of GAVS and working alongside you through 2026–27 to strengthen local impact.

As we settle into this new role, things may feel a little different over the next few weeks, but our commitment to supporting the sector hasn’t changed — thank you for bearing with us.

We’re also really pleased to welcome existing GAVS staff - Mutmahim and Vindhya - into the BVSC team as we move forward together.
