We engage, enable and empower women to move away from abuse, and to move forward with their lives. Established in 1997, Her Centre is a woman-led charity which works with over 1000 women a year, offering support to women who live, study or work in Greenwich. We offer free and confidential advocacy, counselling, outreach, advice and training in the following areas:

- immigration (signposting to specialists)
- emergency housing (relating to domestic violence)

If you, or someone you know, is experiencing domestic abuse, there is support and help available. For confidential support, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247.

You can call the Greenwich Domestic Violence & Abuse Services (GDVA) advice line Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0208 317 8273.

Her Centre run weekly drop-ins which provide legal advice and emotional support at:

One-Stop-Shop offers legal guidance and support for individuals dealing with abuse.

We welcome , regardless of sexual orientation ( ***an, and *xual).

experiencing abuse can seek assistance from at their website: https://www.respect.org.uk/.

Our Domestic Abuse Drop-In provides practical and emotional support, including domestic violence advocates and solicitors specializing in family law.

We lead the weekly One Stop Shop for women facing domestic abuse, in collaboration with Solicitors from Hab Law, GT Stewart and Farani Taylor.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Health IDVA & Domestic Abuse Trainer to our friendly and energetic team, supporting women experiencing domestic abuse.

About the :
This innovative Health IDVA role is leading the way in building strong referral pathways between GP practices and specialist domestic abuse support. You will:
• Work closely with GP practices across Greenwich
• Deliver engaging in-person and online training to help GPs
recognise signs of abuse
• Manage a caseload of women referred through health services

This event will focus on celebrating diversity in our community as lived by women in our borough. Join us in a celebration honouring diversity and the incredible achievements of women from all walks of life. This inspiring event will bring together voices, stories, and experiences that highlight the power of unity and representation.
