Mama2Mama Baby Bank charity The Baby Bank is like a food bank but for baby essentials.

We collect new and pre-loved items for new-borns to 3 year olds from the local community and give them to families who are in urgent need of help. We offer assessments for the whole family and work in partnership with parents, to plan, monitor and evaluate support until they overcome the problems they face. This will include referrals for parenting programmes, targeted family support services, employability, advice and health services. Referrals will be made to our wider services and partners, who we have strong and established relationships with. For many families referred to us, the cost of a new, firm cot mattress: essential for preventing SIDS: is simply out of reach. This leads to dangerous choices, like using old, soft mattresses or co-sleeping in unsafe conditions.

As the summer holidays draw to a close, a new kind of pressure begins to creep in. 🍂

New school shoes or food on the table? A proper uniform or this month's electricity bill? For the families we support, the 'September crunch' is just as real as the summer struggle , and because it's invisible, too often the worry is carried alone.

At Mama2Mama, we're here so no parent has to make those impossible choices. Our mother-to-mother community steps in with the essentials , uniforms, shoes, coats, nursery bags , so a little one can walk into their first day with their head held high, and a parent can finally breathe. 💙💛

If you have outgrown uniforms or pre-loved school shoes tucked away in a drawer, please think of us. A small donation from your cupboard is a huge weight lifted from a family's shoulders.

While the arrival of summer usually means sunshine and ice cream, for many families in our community, it brings a hidden wave of pressure. ☀️🌊

As the school gates close for the holidays, the reality of the "summer struggle" sets in. 🏡 Without the support of school meals, the cost of feeding hungry little ones at home rises sharply. Combine that with the need for extra clothing for growing toddlers and the desire to keep children happy on a tight budget, and it can feel like an uphill battle. 📉

At Mama2Mama Baby Bank, we see this struggle firsthand. We believe that no parent should have to worry about the basics while trying to create summer memories for their children. 🧸💛
