One of the biggest game-changers for Emmie’s Books!

For years, our charity was run from our kitchen table, with books stored, sorted and packed all over our home!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Big Yellow Self Storage in Eltham, we have had nearly a year with a space to call our own!

Not only has this transformed how we operate, but it also means we can buy books in bulk when we find fantastic deals, rather than only ordering on demand. This helps us make every donation go further and get even more books into the hands of children who need them.

A HUGE thank you to Big Yellow Self Storage Eltham for giving our little charity such an amazing opportunity. Your support really is making a difference!

We’re delighted to welcome author and illustrator Annemarie Sparrow to our My Favourite Book series, sharing the book that holds a special place in her heart - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 💛

When we started this series for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we had no idea quite how much you would love it. We’ve had such wonderful feedback - and even more amazing people wanting to take part - that we’ve decided My Favourite Book is here to stay! 📖✨

We absolutely love discovering the stories that have stayed with people, inspired them, comforted them or simply made them fall in love with reading.

A huge thank you to Annemarie for being part of our series.

Imagine running through the streets of London knowing every mile you complete is helping bring comfort, escapism and joy to children facing cancer treatment 💛

We’re so excited to launch our Team Emmie’s Books places for the 2027 London Landmarks Half Marathon - and we’d love YOU to be part of it.

By joining our team, you’ll help us continue donating books to children in hospitals across the UK, creating moments through the magic of stories when families need them most.
