We are incredibly honoured to have been chosen as one of Woolwich and Eltham Sunday Football Alliance’s charities of the year, alongside the amazing

As part of this partnership, 10% of all Cup Final revenue will be shared equally between both charities - an opportunity that means so much to us.

This support will not only help us continue our work but also gives us a powerful platform to raise awareness of childhood cancer and the importance of creating moments through the magic of stories for families who need it most.

We’re so grateful to be part of this community and can’t wait to see the impact we can make together 💛

🚨 CALLING ALL RUNNERS 🚨

We’re on the lookout for 5 incredible people to take on the Manchester Half Marathon on 4th October 2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This is your chance to do something amazing - not just for yourself, but for children who need it most 💛

✨ Charity places available for just £30 (usually £130)
✨ Minimum fundraising pledge: £350

We want to be completely open - we’ve recently had several people commit to places and, unfortunately, have had to drop out for various (and totally understandable) reasons.

As a small charity, we cover the remaining cost of each place, which means we lose at least £100 per runner - and we also miss out on vital sponsorship funds. This can have a real impact on what we’re able to do for the children we support.

So if you sign up, we kindly ask that you’re ready to commit and take on this challenge with us 💛

✨ You won’t be alone - we’ll support you every step of the way with fundraising help, encouragement, and a brilliant team behind you.

Not sure a half marathon is for you? That’s absolutely okay! We have lots of smaller distance events available, so if you’d still love to support us, please get in touch and we’ll help you find something that feels right for you.

Yesterday, after two long days of appointments for Emmie, we managed to make a delivery of 180 books to 📚💛

These bags of stories will soon be making their way to children on Elephant, Giraffe and Lion wards, as well as their families - bringing moments of comfort, escape and imagination when they’re needed most.

Being back at GOSH can still feel quite triggering for me, and Emmie is finding it increasingly difficult too - especially knowing she needed bloods. But being able to combine her visit with a book delivery really helped shift her focus.

She left feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride, rather than fear and negativity - and that means everything.

Thank you, as always, for helping us create moments through the magic of stories ✨

Mother’s Day 🤍

Today we celebrate the love, strength and devotion that motherhood holds.

But we know today can feel complicated for many families.

To the mums waking up beside hospital beds, navigating treatment days, waiting rooms and long nights - we see you.

To the mums carrying their children in their hearts and looking up to the stars today - we see you too.

And to the mums quietly wondering what next Mother’s Day might look like, holding hope and fear in the same breath - you are not alone.

You are the most incredible, resilient, and powerful women. Even if right now you feel anything but.

Your love is real. Your motherhood is real. And love like yours never fades.

Love lives forever. ✨

We are still a little lost for words after receiving the Community Award at the Royal Borough of Greenwich Civic Awards.

It was an absolute honour to be surrounded by so many incredible people who are making life-changing differences across our community. In a world where the news can often feel so dark, it was genuinely uplifting to hear the stories of so many wonderful humans doing extraordinary things for others.

Just hearing that we had been nominated felt like such a huge honour. Winning is something we’re still trying to process.

Emmie’s Books was born from some of our deepest, darkest moments. All we ever wanted was to bring a little joy to families experiencing the same unimaginable journey. When the world feels overwhelming, the power of a bedtime story can lift spirits and bring a small sense of normality to a situation that is anything but normal.

We will keep working hard to grow Emmie’s Books, to honour our incredible Emmie and her cancer journey and for every family who needs a moment of comfort through the magic of stories.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. 💛📚

This International Women’s Day feels like a moment to pause and reflect.

It’s strange to feel privilege in the midst of such a difficult journey. But one thing we know for certain is how privileged we are to have met so many incredible women throughout our oncology journey and, more recently, through our work with Emmie’s Books.

From every nurse, doctor, consultant and HCA, to the parents and young patients we meet along the way, we have witnessed levels of strength, resilience, knowledge and quiet power that you could never imagine exists in this world.

We also hold space today for the women navigating grief and loss. The mothers carrying unimaginable heartbreak. The families grieving the loss of their strong, brave girls whose impact will never be forgotten.

These women and girls show up every single day with courage, compassion and determination, often in the face of the hardest circumstances.

Today we celebrate these incredible women and girls - as we do every day. 💜

This morning we delivered 216 beautiful books to The Royal Marsden - just in time for World Book Day next week 📚✨

Knowing that these stories will be waiting on wards, ready to bring comfort, escapism and a little sparkle to children facing the toughest of days, means everything to us.

Also, today we remember Henry, whose family are navigating the fourth anniversary of his passing. Henry was the first recipient of Emmie’s Books and it’s because of his wonderful family that we have been able to establish this connection with the hospital 💚💫

Every single book donated today has been made possible because of you - your donations, your shares, your encouragement, and your belief in what we do. 💛

We say it often, but it’s true: none of this would be possible without the wonderful support of the public. You are the reason we can keep creating moments through the magic of stories.

Thank you for helping us put books into little hands when they’re needed most. 📖✨
