Collab Training Academy CIC & It Takes a Village Youth Forum support youth on there journey of Life

28/08/2026

Every Wednesday, 4:30pm to 6:00pm, we run our Youth & Community Hub sessions.
This is something I do in my own time and currently self-fund because I believe in giving young people a space to chill, learn, get involved and grow.
We’re developing Youth Ambassadors through different activities, including Gaming, our community allotment, Black History programme and community garden.
It’s good to watch these young people grow and be part of what we’re building together.

Bikes and scooters on their way to Jamaica 🇯🇲

Just one of the many things we do quietly behind the scenes at Collab Training Academy CIC.

Big respect to Ray Notice for the work he is doing. Hopefully, these bikes and scooters will soon be helping children and young people in Jamaica who need them.

Community supporting community.

BLACK HISTORY IS NOT JUST FOR OCTOBER

It Takes a Village Youth Forum and Collab Training Academy CIC are proud to present:

Black History Project 2026: Not Just October

Exhibition: 10 to 24 September 2026
Grand Finale: 26 September 2026
Stoke-on-Trent

Young people helped design and lead a two-week experience exploring:

• Black British and local history
• African and Caribbean culture
• Windrush stories and lived experiences
• Music, food, art and creativity
• Black success, resilience and community
• The past, present and future

This is more than an event. We want Black history to be taught, shared and celebrated throughout the year.

We welcome schools, businesses, community groups, artists, speakers, volunteers and sponsors to get involved.

Past. Present. Future. Community.

ITAV Youth FORUM PRESENTS: NJO
THE BLACK HISTORY PROJECT
NOT JUST OCTOBER
We’re pleased to announce our new Black History Project, led and shaped by the It Takes a Village Youth Forum, working alongside Collab Training Academy CIC and our community partners.
This is about giving young people a real voice in how Black history is presented, celebrated and carried forward.
From 10 to 24 September 2026, we’ll transform our community hub into a two-week Black History museum experience, bringing together:
- Black British and local history
- Culture, music, art and food
- Stories from different generations
- Workshops and activities
- Young people’s ideas and creativity
- Community voices, artefacts and lived experiences

And most importantly, NJO means Not Just October. Black history, education and celebration should happen throughout the year.
A big thank you to B- Arts and everybody already supporting the project. We’ll announce our partners, supporters and full programme separately over the coming weeks.
Past. Present. Future. Community.

Rock paper scissors! For a extra pizza slice at our gaming drop in Weds nights 🤣🤣🤣

02/07/2026

Gaming Drop-In | Every Wednesday | 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm 🎮⚽

Last nights Gaming Drop-In looked a little different. Instead of gaming, we watched the football together. The match hasn’t been the best, but it’s been a good chance for everyone to relax, chat and spend time together.

Back to gaming next Wednesday!

It Takes a Village Community Garden

We’ve made our first planting, a bit late, but still a good start.

Tomatoes, cucumbers, beetroot, radish, sage, lettuce and cauliflower and more are now in.

We’re still looking for volunteers on Thursdays for a couple of hours.

Come and get involved.

What a fantastic day!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our first joint Family Fun Day hosted by Collab Training Academy CIC and Cultural Zebra.
The turnout was amazing and the support from families, volunteers, partners and community members was overwhelming. People travelled from across the City to join us, and there are simply too many people to thank individually.
This was a self-funded event built through partnership, community spirit and a shared vision of bringing people together.
Thank you for the conversations, connections, laughter, food, music and positive energy throughout the day.
We're already planning the next one and look forward to seeing you again soon.
