But when Greece works hand-in-hand with the Greek administration on religion, education, defence and politics, suddenly nobody has a problem.

Our Barcelona campaign has reached 16 media outlets, through news coverage and press social channels in Britain, Türkiye and the TRNC. More people are hearing about the campaign, and we need to turn that attention into more signatures for our children.

Turkish Cypriot children deserve the chance to play football, train and develop their talents. We cannot simply accept political pressure closing those opportunities to them and then move on.

The campaign’s first days coincided with the terrible ferry disaster off Girne. Our hearts and thoughts remain with those who lost loved ones, the survivors and every family affected. They deserve our continued support as we carry on the work for our community across several fronts.

The tragedy off Girne has become far worse than first reported.
Eight people have now lost their lives. Eighteen people are still missing.

Behind every number is a family waiting for news, a loved one who boarded that ferry expecting an ordinary journey to Türkiye, and a community trying to understand how something like this could happen.

The TRNC has declared three days of national mourning.
Türkiye and the TRNC have mobilised ships, helicopters, aircraft, drones, Coast Guard and rescue teams, and the search will continue through the night.

There will be a time for serious questions about what happened aboard Filo Jet and who was responsible.

Tonight, the priority is the 18 people who have still not been found, their families waiting for news and those mourning the eight lives already lost.

May Allah grant mercy to those who have died, strength to their families, and bring those still missing safely home.

Turkish Cypriot children were prevented from taking part in a football camp connected to FC Barcelona after political and sporting pressure from the Greek Cypriot side.

We are not allowing this to disappear quietly.

Greeks are pi**ed. Why? Because Somalia’s Speaker publicly recognised reality.

He thanked Dr Ziya Öztürkler by calling him what he is. Speaker of the Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

That one sentence was enough to send the Greek side into panic mode.

Why?

Because they have spent decades trying to bury the name of our state.

Trying to reduce Turkish Cypriots to a “community”.

Trying to pretend the Greek side represents the whole island.

They hate seeing KKTC spoken out loud in international diplomacy.

Good.

Let them be angry.
Let them complain.
Let them issue statements.

Every correct title used.
Every official contact.
Every public reference to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus weakens the isolation regime they built against our people.

Now let’s show Somalia’s Speaker that Turkish Cypriots noticed too.
