Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing this wonderful human can almost hear her high-pitched Essex accent declaring “Oooo look, it’s all lush!”

We have an understanding (which Mel argues about constantly) that when she delivers my bakes, I give her a coffee- small price to pay for have my freshly baked goods delivered on foot, from just around the corner.

So you can imagine her delight when I offered her one of our new hot chocolates from H A R T H in a ‘proper’ mug.

Lots of love for the hottie choccie and then off toot sweet to bake my carrot cakes!

Who else is going to enjoy their drink in one of our new mugs? Obviously this only works if you’re drinking at the van having a natter or sitting on one of the benches. 20p off your drink if you do- no brainer I reckon 😉x

Howling wind a plenty of the wet stuff this morning but with some clever manoeuvring I reckon I get Gloria braced against the westerly winds.

While I have your attention- Monday morning we’ll be finishing at 10am as we sadly have another funeral.

I know I shouldn’t tease you with a “coming soon” post but I’m too excited to wait!

🍂 As the days are slowly getting colder, we thought it was high time we gave H A R T H a whirl.

Tried and tested at home by the fam and it’s been a huge hit! The second born ‘man child’ is obsessed- and he’s a tough one to impress😉

Think rich, indulgent, chocolatey loveliness, made just over the bridge and coming to your favourite mobile coffee van (based at Llantwit train station) soon.

I’m even thinking of keeping some proper mugs on the van for those wanting to sit on the benches with their bestie and cup their hands around a steaming mug of this delicious hot chocolate- what do you think?

I’ll keep you posted once it’s arrived and I’ll also be keeping it hidden from the family!

Monday morning and I think we’re back up and running. We possibly have an unresolved fault somewhere on the machine which is getting looked at later but for now, I think we’re good to go.

Typical that Gloria is running like a dream and it’s the coffee machine knotting my shoulders and making me gnaw at my finger nails😬

And there was me, enjoying my week, the sunshine, the Friday mood, Gloria running smoothly and then the coffee machine decides that my week was going far too well.

Got to my pitch, hooked up the gas, went to switch on the machine and POP! Ok, less dramatic than BANG but all the same, the machine failed to turn on. Quick 53-point turn, the drive of shame back down the high street and I’m back home. Never fear, the legend that is Socrates from steamandgrind is on his way and (with zero pressure obvs), will get the machine up and running for me.

So sorry for the Friday disappointment folks. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you Monday 🤞🏻 x

Those darker mornings are creeping in, lower temperatures, the days are getting shorter and there’s already a shift in your drinks preferences. Those iced latte demands are slowing down and the first of the PSL’s have been made 🍂 🎃 That said, back to summer next week so who blooming knows!

Wednesday already and we’ve got an awesome selection of bakes from Melanie Constantinou and those amazing Mars Brownies are back!!

And just like that…

Annual leave over and feeling rested, relaxed and ready to get back on the tools.

All that’s left to do is pick up Gloria from the garage- she’s also had a break and then to get her packed up, set the alarm clock and wait for the Sunday night (back to school) wobbles.

Looking forward to seeing you all with umbrellas tomorrow morning. The pumpkin spice has arrived and the jumpers are out of hibernation. Let’s see what September has in store.

Here we go- Last Monday for us until September 14th. Wednesday this week will be our last day before we head off on our road trip to Italy and I can’t blooming wait! Might even bring myself back a fridge magnet to add to the growing collection😉

And speaking of lasts… it’s the final week of the summer hols somehow. Those weeks have flown by in a flurry of iced lattes, exam results and A LOT of sunshine ☀️. So let’s enjoy those final few days before we head off and you start uniform shopping, preparing your big kids for uni or squeezing in a quick summer holiday and I promise, when I get back I’ll put those PSL’s on the menu for you 🍁
