Lincolnshire Walking Group If you enjoy the countryside, then we offer you an easy way to make new friends and enjoy the great outdoors We are a Lincolnshire group of the Ramblers.

We are one of ten local groups of the Ramblers that serve Lincolnshire, with our specific aim to cater for those in their 20’s to 40’s who have to balance their work/young family commitments with how much time they can spend walking. (The other Ramblers Groups offer walks during the week as well as weekends for those who have retired or have more leisure time available to them.) If you'd like to g

et away from the day-to-day stresses of modern life or you enjoy the countryside and you simply want to get some exercise, then we offer you an easy way to make new friends and enjoy the great outdoors. We have a wide variety of walks, ranging from easy rambles to energetic mountain hikes, all led by experienced walk leaders, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. We also hold regular social events and weekends away in variety of locations across the country.

Our next walk is this Sunday 21st June at 10:30am from South Ormsby. This 9 mile walk explores the Lincolnshire Wolds around South Ormsby, taking in the villages of Somersby, Bag Enderby, Brinkhill and Driby.

Our next walk is 10 miles on Sunday 7th June at 10:30am. Beginning at Louth Park Farm, we follow the River Ludd to the riverhead in Louth. We then head out of Louth over fields, passing Stewton and Legbourne. After calling at the The Royal Oak Inn for a light refreshment we head towards Froghall Fisheries and return back by Stewton village.

The walk promises beautiful countryside scenery.

Livestock maybe present in fields. Dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a short lead at all times.

Our next walk, this Sunday (24th) is a circular 9 mile route starting from Welton and taking in the area around Dunholme and Scothern.

Our next walk is on Sunday 10th May at 10:30am from Rothwell. This is a varied and hilly 9 mile walk on the northern edge of the Wolds. We head out of Rothwell towards Nettleton where we join the Viking Way on our return to Rothwell.

Thanks to Rebecca for leading today's walk in the sunshine from Scampton. Lovely views of Lincoln cathedral as well as the village churches at North and South Carlton. It was also great to see wild flowers, butterflies and birds.

Our next walk is this Sunday, 26th April at 10:30am from Scampton.

Leaving Scampton on this 8.5 mile walk, we head south across fields with good views across to Lincoln Cathedral. Upon reaching the village of South Carlton we have the possibility of quick stop to look at the village church, before heading north past the remains of the medieval village of Middle Carlton. Skirting North Carlton we will see the start of the work that is going on to create a new woodland area, before returning to Scampton, finishing with a drink at the Dambusters Inn.

Our next walk is this Sunday, 12th April at 10:30am from Brigg.
We leave Brigg via the river Ancholme and head towards Broughton Bridge with the possibility of spotting a variety of wildlife on route.
Our 9.5 mile walk will then take in some beautiful woodland at Far and East Wood before we return to Brigg via Broughton.
