Friends of Moving Forward Lincoln Domestic Abuse support for women who have escaped abuse in and around Lincoln. Moving Forward supports women who have experienced historic domestic abuse.

This means they are no longer in the relationship but sadly still living with the devastating and lasting impact. The common theme is that “no one understands their feelings and experiences unless they have been through it themselves”. This is isolating and leads to people closing down or not seeking support. We have created a supportive, understanding environment that empowers women who have experienced historic domestic abuse. We meet twice a month in person in Lincoln, once a month online and we facilitate regular social activities. We also work in partnership with Clear Path UK to deliver a 10 week trauma informed healing programme called The Four Cornerstones of Healing. We are a 'By and For' organisation which is led by 3 friends and former colleagues in the domestic abuse sector who have lived experiences either personally or professionally of domestic abuse.
