β˜•That's a wrap on our campaign! β˜•

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who was nominated. All nominees have now been sent their nominations via email, so don't forget to check your inbox and read the wonderful and heartfelt messages that have been shared about you.

Being nominated is a reminder of the difference you make. Your time, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and it is clear that those around you are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers, parents, and young people who took the time to submit nominations. This campaign is only possible because people take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate one another, and it has been fantastic to see so many examples of kindness, appreciation, and gratitude shared across our Scouting community.

Whether you were nominated, submitted a nomination, or simply continue to support Scouting week after week, thank you. Every volunteer plays an important part in helping young people gain Skills for Life, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Even if you didn't get involved in this year, please know that your efforts are valued and appreciated.

Thank you for all that you do. You are all amazing!

As Volunteers' Week comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make Scouting possible every day with a quick message from our County lead volunteer, Howard. πŸ’œ

This video captures just a small glimpse of the impact our volunteers have. In the middle of the video, you'll see three Cubs sharing a speech they created themselves during camp this weekend. Completely unprompted, they wanted to thank their section volunteers for everything they do.

There can be no better reminder of why volunteering matters. The time, energy, encouragement, and care our volunteers give has a lasting impact on young people, and sometimes the greatest thank you comes directly from them.

We've already received over 100 Brew it Forward nominations, each sharing stories of dedicated volunteers making a difference in their groups, sections, districts, and communities. It's been inspiring to read everyone.

There are still a few hours left to nominate someone who deserves a well-earned thank you and the chance to receive a Β£10 coffee voucher. β˜•πŸ©·

We’re continuing our campaign by celebrating volunteers whose dedication is leaving a lasting impact on Scouting and the young people it supports.

Each of these individuals has been recognised for the commitment, passion, and difference they make across our movement every single day.

🌟 Wayne

πŸ’¬ "I would like to nominate Wayne in recognition of his exceptional commitment and dedication to supporting volunteers across the district. Wayne has travelled extensively across the county to help our volunteers work towards gaining their permits, generously giving up many weekends to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support. His commitment has made a significant difference to so many people and has helped strengthen Scouting throughout our district.

What makes Wayne's contribution even more remarkable is that this work has been undertaken alongside his many other Scouting responsibilities, not instead of them. Despite an already demanding schedule, he continues to make time for others, always willing to go the extra mile to help volunteers succeed.

We cannot fully express how thankful and appreciative we are for Wayne's dedication, enthusiasm, and selfless service. His support will have a lasting impact on our volunteers and the young people, making him thoroughly deserving of this nomination."

🌟 Michelle

πŸ’¬ "I would like to nominate Michelle in recognition of her outstanding service as Treasurer for our Scout Group. Michelle has consistently gone above and beyond in managing the group's finances with professionalism, accuracy, and dedication. Her careful management of funds has helped ensure that the group can continue to provide valuable opportunities and experiences for our young people.

Beyond the day-to-day financial responsibilities, Michelle is always willing to offer support, advice, and assistance whenever needed. Her reliability, commitment, and positive attitude make her an invaluable member of the Scout Group leadership team. The time and effort she gives, often behind the scenes, have made a significant difference to the success and sustainability of the group.

Michelle's dedication and service are greatly appreciated by volunteers, parents, and young people alike."

🌟 Adam

πŸ’¬ "I cannot begin to put into words how important Adam has been in my daughter's life. She joined Scouts as a tiny 7 year old and now, 12 years later, she is a budding leader herself. This is down to the efforts of the whole group, but Adam is the person who has challenged, pushed and enabled her to do amazing things. Time after time, he knew what she was capable of and worked his socks off to ensure she met her potential. Adam ignited a life-long passion for kayaking in her, so much so that it had a bearing on her university choice.

Of particular importance to us as parents was the effort he made during COVID. She had a really difficult time with an elderly grandma becoming quite unwell and then her father being taken into hospital. Thankfully both were well in the end, but it made her very anxious about doing her usual clubs. She stopped doing all her usual activities, except for Scouts. Even when lockdown came, Scouts continued, weekly, on Zoom. Toasting marshmallows over gel fires at home, virtual campfire, was a particular highlight. This contact enabled her to pick up her social activities soon after Covid.

While I know the effort that went into these sessions, I cannot thank Adam highly enough for just being there. Since then, Adam has continued to be such a positive influence in her life. We can't thank him enough."

🌟 Jacob

πŸ’¬ "Jacob consistently goes above and beyond in every role he undertakes, but I particularly want to recognise the incredible work he has put into his Poacher role. He has far exceeded what would reasonably be expected of him, giving huge amounts of time, energy and commitment to make sure things are done properly and to a high standard.

Through his work, people will be safer, feel more comfortable, and most importantly, feel like they belong. He has fully embraced the values and culture we are trying to create and has approached everything with professionalism, care and genuine passion.

Jacob’s contribution often happens quietly behind the scenes, but the positive impact of his work will be felt by many people. He is thoroughly deserving of recognition and a well earned brew."

πŸ’¬ "Jacob has been a part of the County Team for the past five years, serving in a variety of roles, including Deputy County Youth Lead, Transformation Lead, and now Support Team Lead. In every position he has held, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Scouting, consistently giving his time, energy, and enthusiasm to support others and help deliver the best possible experiences for young people and volunteers alike.

Throughout this time, he has played a key role in the planning and delivery of numerous county events, including LINCUB, Little Lincs, and Lincs Fest. Through his dedication and extensive knowledge, he has become a trusted and respected figure across the county. Many volunteers regularly seek his advice and guidance, knowing they can rely on his experience and thoughtful approach. He continues to bring this same passion and expertise to his current role with Poacher.

In parallel with his local and county commitments, Jacob has also contributed nationally. He has been involved with the 14–18 programme redesign team, served with the National Youth Forum team, and now supports Scouting through national events work. He has also taken his skills abroad as part of the Roverway team in Norway. His willingness to contribute wherever he can, whether locally, county-wide, nationally, or internationally, reflects his deep commitment to the movement and its future.

Despite the significant demands of these roles, Jacob has also achieved both his King's Scout Award and Explorer Belt, demonstrating his personal commitment to challenge, adventure, and self-development. He has embraced every opportunity available to him within Scouting and continues to lead by example.

What stands out most is the sheer amount of time, effort, and care that Jacob invests in Scouting, much of it behind the scenes and often without recognition. In less than six years as an adult volunteer, he has made a remarkable contribution across multiple levels of the organisation while continuing to support young people on a weekly basis. His dedication, leadership, and service embody the very best of Scouting, and the positive impact he has had on countless young people and volunteers is truly deserving of recognition.

There is no doubt that Jacob will continue to give the same passion and commitment in the years ahead, helping even more young people gain Skills for Life and ensuring that Scouting remains a thriving and supportive community for all."

πŸ’¬ "Jacob is the future of Scouting - Young, enthusiastic and highly capable. A pleasure to work alongside and demonstrates the values you’d expect in all he does."

A huge congratulations and thank you to Wayne, Michelle, Adam, and Jacob. Your dedication, time, and care are helping shape a stronger future for Scouting and the young people we support. πŸ‘

We would be remiss not to give a shout-out to the Poacher International Jamboreer team during this time.

With Poacher only a short while away, we want to take a moment to say thank you, alongside this nomination, to everyone who is giving their time and energy to make it happen.

Organising an event like this is no small task, and it truly takes an incredible team working together behind the scenes.

πŸ’¬ "Organising Poacher is a mammoth task, but a team of dedicated volunteers work together to deliver an amazing event. Huge thanks to Andrew for taking the lead, and huge thanks to all those who have supported him along the way."

We are so grateful for the time, effort, and commitment that has gone into making this event possible. We are sure it will be a great success, and it is exciting to see everything coming together ahead of Poacher at Lincolnshire Showground this August. πŸ‘

Thank you to everyone involved; your hard work does not go unnoticed.

πŸŽ‰ 100 NOMINATIONS AND COUNTING! πŸŽ‰

Wow! We’ve officially reached 100 nominations for Brew it Forward 2026, and what an incredible milestone that is!

More importantly, it’s a reminder of just how many amazing volunteers we have across our movement. Every nomination tells a story of someone giving their time, supporting young people, helping behind the scenes, stepping up when needed, or simply making Scouting a better place for everyone.

We've loved reading about the dedication, kindness, enthusiasm, and impact of volunteers from across the County. The stories being shared are truly inspiring.

With so many nominations coming in, we won't be able to share every single one on social media. However, every nominee will receive an email containing their nomination, so they can read the wonderful words written about them and receive the thanks and recognition they deserve. πŸ’™

Think we've already heard about all the amazing volunteers? Think again! There's still time to nominate someone who makes a difference in your Scout group, section, district, or county.

🌟 Rob

πŸ’¬ "Rob is our β€˜ask and it shall be done’ leader. Any task, small or big, he has the tools, knowledge, and commitment to get it done. Even things mentioned in passing are dealt with promptly, often without recognition. Although his official role is only as a Cubs section volunteer, he is a massive pillar that keeps our group running. He regularly helps other sections when needed and takes on a wide range of jobs. He is an invaluable member of the leadership team, managing many administrative tasks, including badge orders and general tech support."
