LRSN Chairman’s Drinks Reception & Charity Auction

We’d love you to join us on Wednesday 4 November at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, for an evening of great company, fundraising and reflection on the year at LRSN.

Enjoy delicious nibbles and drinks, take part in our live auction, silent auction and raffle, and hear more about the difference LRSN has made in supporting Lincolnshire’s farming and rural communities over the past year. We’ll also hold our AGM as part of the evening.

Join us at Lincoln Cathedral on Sunday 11 October at 3.45pm for this year’s Lincolnshire Harvest Festival.

Everyone is welcome. It's a chance to come together and celebrate the people, land and farming community that make Lincolnshire so special.

🌭 We’re heading to the Lincoln Sausage Festival! 🌭

This Saturday 10 October, you’ll find the LRSN team at Lincoln Castle for this fun family event.

We’ll have a stand where you can come and meet the team, find out more about LRSN and the support we provide to Lincolnshire’s farming community. And, we’ll be hosting a chocolate tombola, because who doesn’t love a chance to win chocolate?

There’ll be plenty for families to enjoy across the day, from cookery demos and street entertainment to circus skills, live music, traditional fairground rides and, of course, lots and lots of sausages!

We are incredibly grateful for this fantastic donation and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in raising this amount. 🙂

Farming and rural businesses have been at the very heart of Witham Group for over a century. We work alongside growers, contractors, and farming families every day, so we see firsthand the extraordinary resilience of our agricultural community. However, rising costs, unpredictable weather, and shifting policy pressures mean that even the strongest among us sometimes need a helping hand.

During his term as President of the Sandringham Association of Royal Warrant Holders (SARWH), our MD, Nigel Bottom, selected the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN) as his Presidential Charity of the Year. At their annual AGM, the SARWH recently presented LRSN with fundraising cheques totalling £5,750.

LRSN provides a vital lifeline across our region, offering confidential practical guidance, emotional support, and healthcare services to individuals and families navigating difficult times.

From Nigel’s fundraising efforts to Ali Bottom, our Group Marketing Director’s ongoing work as Vice Chair of LRSN, supporting the health and wellbeing of our rural community remains a cause deeply personal to all of us at Witham Group. We thank the members of the SARWH for all their support this year.

🌱 A warm welcome to our new CEO, Lisa Gibson

We’re delighted to announce that Lisa Gibson has joined the LRSN team today as our new CEO.

Lisa brings many years of experience in the charitable and community sector, most recently as Head of Services, Innovation and Business Development at Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind.

But Lisa also has a personal connection to the communities LRSN supports. Originally from Lancashire, she grew up in a farming community, and farming has been a big part of her Dad’s family too.

For Lisa, people matter and that will be at the heart of her approach at LRSN.

“I have a lot to learn, and my first priority will be listening; to staff, volunteers, supporters and, most importantly, the people and communities we are here to support.

Having grown up in a farming community, I know that farming is about so much more than a job. It is about family, community, a way of life and a deep connection to the land.”

LRSN Chair Matthew Phillips said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome Lisa to LRSN. She brings a wealth of experience, but just as importantly, she shares our belief that people must always be at the heart of what we do.

Her own connection to farming and rural communities makes this a particularly special appointment for us, and we’re looking forward to Lisa getting to know the people who make LRSN what it is.”

We’re looking forward to welcoming Lisa, and to seeing her support and nurture our staff, volunteers, supporters and the communities we are here for.
