The tragic events at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland in the early hours of New Year’s Day, has left over 40 people dead and 119 people injured.

It is with deep sadness that the UK-AFI offer our heartfelt condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones at this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with the families who have not yet had news of their missing loved ones.

Our thanks go out to the members of the emergency services who attended this difficult scene to render assistance and transport the injured to hospitals across the region.

Applications are invited from members who wish to be considered for up and coming vacancies on the UK-AFI Board of Directors.

The UK-AFI is run by volunteers who all share a passion for developing and maintaining good practice and knowledge in the field of fire and arson investigation, if you wish to contribute to our great Association we would love to hear from you. Individuals wishing to stand for election and hold elected positions must be a current member of the UK-AFI and the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).

Anyone wishing to apply should complete the UK-AFI Board of Directors Nomination Form, see link below. The form should then be completed and emailed to [email protected].

Closing date for applications is 1st October 2025
