The temperature is unusual for the time of year but cold mornings and evenings are to be expected and the lack of a good coat is not good for comfort or health. So, we were delighted when Robin, member of the Rotary Club asked if we would like to hold a selection of coats that have been donated through a Rotary initiative.
We now have is good selection of coats for men, women and children.
Please contact 07842 122429 for further information.

Harvest assembly at Dovery Academy which took place on Friday, was wonderful, led by pupil leaders of the school, we were delighted by the music, singing and words shared to a large gathering of parents and families of pupils. A very long table displayed an amazing array of food and other items for our Foodbank. Huge thanks to all who donated, the food was packed by the children and over 35 bags of food, full and heavy, were brought back to Delta House.
Thank you Mrs Cavender for inviting us to speak about the importance of the Foodbank and for your consistent support. Thank you to all involved in the assembly, we especially loved Autumn Tango 🎶.

Behind every food parcel there is a community of people helping to make it possible. The villagers of Stewkley have remained generous supporters of our Foodbank for several years. This week another very large selection of food and toiletries was delivered by Steve.
Thank you to all who contributed and thank you Steve.

The Harvest Festival was celebrated when she was on holiday. So today, she brought her donation.
Kindness and generosity in LB is on a different scale.

Many thanks to all involved in Trinity Church, Harvest Festival, this Sunday. We greatly appreciate the donation of food gathered and then offered to our Foodbank.
Thanks to Charles and Sue for delivering a wonderful array of items that will help enormously in providing food parcels

Harvest Festivals remain an important part of the seasonal calendar. Members of Hockliffe Street Baptist Church celebrated their harvest this weekend and kindly donated the produce gathered to our Foodbank. Stock is low so we are especially grateful for all that has been offered by members of the church. Thank you to all involved in organising the Harvest Festival and to all who donated.

Our community includes some of the most generous of people.
A few years ago we met the family of a gentleman called Les Osborn. He had requested his family donated food to our Foodbank rather than buy him presents. Erika Chamberlain, his daughter, and her husband Dave, honoured his wish and continue to do so with generosity each year being extraordinary.
Today, Dave delivered huge bags of duvets and bedding. Families in crisis will be grateful to this amazing family. Thank you for your support, we’re fortunate to have you in our community.

Whilst not yet the festive season, Stewkley Elves have generously donated £196.00 to purchase bedding in readiness for an emergency situation. Their response was quick and extremely timely.
Many thanks to all involved, the money has allowed the purchase of duvet sets and duvets and will help several families who face a crisis situation. Sadly a situation that happens too frequently. Stewkley Elves never fail to be supportive and are in turn supported by the kind people of the village. Many thanks.

We were visited today by Bethan, leader of the 12th Aylesbury Guides.
The guides regularly choose charities they want to help and this month they chose to help our Foodbank with donations they have organised. Bethan delivered a great selection of food and toiletries.
Huge thanks to all involved. A tremendous effort and one that will make a big difference in helping families who are facing financial challenges.

We are helping a number of families who are facing crisis situations where moving from home has become necessary.
Food donations continue to be needed, especially children’s snacks, tinned meat for meal packs and cleaning products.
But so too are things we have not before requested, like duvet sets and pillows, new not used.
The children being moved due to no fault of their own deserve a comforting place to sleep.
Your help will make a big difference.
