Just what we all needed! We had just perfect conditions yesterday for a wonderful sail to Rosemary Lane and back, and about time too, as we have either had too much wind and rain, or not enough wind on previous Saturdays. “Jennie” was afloat as our support boat, skippered by our fabulous Senior Instructors.

It was a pleasure to welcome Rachel from Active Kent & Medway and Angela from Active Sussex to our Club on Saturday. It was soo hot and we only had a little breeze but that didn’t stop us getting two of our dinghies out on the water, along with “Jennie” as our support boat.
Thank you for the kit bag and goodies, all of which will come in very useful.
Rachel and Angela are both Sport Welfare Officers and amongst speaking about encouraging active lifestyles through the promotion of safe and inclusive sport, we also talked about the importance of Safeguarding procedures in sports clubs.

This is the start of a new chapter and we are looking forward to sharing the beauty of Bewl Water with those that are dependent upon their wheelchair.

Our first shakedown sail of our 2026 season is fast approaching on Saturday 4th April. It’s all go getting the boats ready after a long wet winter. The before and after results of a very therapeutic morning cleaning our Hansas 303 access dinghies.

The water level and weather finally allowed us to complete the handover of our wonderful new Wheelyboat “Jennie” from Jim at Coulam Ltd, the boatbuilder.
Jim took us through rigging, launching, a test drive and recovery from the water.
It was great that Jennie H (one of our founding members) was able to join us and be the first to take the helm.
We now look forward to the official launch and exploring opportunities that this amazing boat will bring to many at Bewl Water.
