Aspens Charities Providing high quality support & care to people on the autism spectrum & with learning disabilities.

Aspens provides a wide range of services including residential care, supported accommodation, day service activities, specialist support, live helpline and support to live independently in the community for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and those on the autism spectrum across the South East . We empower those we support to have choice and control over how they live their lives and to live life to its full potential. When social distancing rules allow, we welcome visitors to our beautiful Cornford Lane site, where we have a cafe, animal petting barn, woodland walk, outdoor gym, picnic area and children's playground. By making a donation, supporting our fundraising events, visiting our cafe or 5 stores you help us to continue to provide a vital service to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Join us on Thursday 26th November for Vintages & Voyages: A Journey in Every Glass, a festive evening of w**e, conversation and celebration with fellow Aspens supporters. Proudly presented by Burtons Solicitors and generously hosted by Squerryes Winery. 🍇

Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Kent's most celebrated vineyards, guests will enjoy an incredible evening sampling an array of Squerryes' award-winning w**es, complemented by a selection of delicious canapés. From a sparkling welcome reception to a guided tasting experience, guests will discover the heritage, craftsmanship and story behind this remarkable estate.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded supporters, friends and partners of Aspens as we come together to celebrate the year, strengthen relationships and enjoy the festive season in exceptional surroundings.

Throughout the evening, guests will also learn how support for the Aspens Holiday Fund helps provide life-enhancing holidays and unforgettable experiences for the children, young people and adults we support.

Aspens is welcoming new referrals for autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities across Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

We have availability across our supported living, residential care and community outreach services, providing personalised support that helps people live fulfilling lives, build independence and achieve their goals.

✔️ Person-centred support tailored to individual needs
✔️ Support with transitions from home, hospital or other services
✔️ Partnership working with professionals, families and referral teams

🤝 We welcome referrals and are happy to discuss how we can support each person’s individual needs.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we’re taking a moment to recognise the importance of looking after our mental health and wellbeing.

At Aspens, we know that feeling heard, understood, included and connected can make a real difference to our wellbeing. Every day, our teams work alongside autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their families, helping people to build confidence and independence, make connections and live life in a way that is meaningful to them.

Today is a reminder to check in with ourselves and those around us, keep the conversation going and help create communities where everyone feels valued and supported. 💜

💜We’re pleased to share our upcoming online Parent & Carer Workshops & Support Groups, offering a welcoming space to learn, connect and feel supported.

A range of sessions are available, covering topics including autistic burnout, demand avoidance, autism and puberty and more. They’re designed to share practical knowledge, build confidence and help families feel better supported.

Thanks to funding, sessions are free for families in West Sussex, with a small charge for those living outside the county.

We’re incredibly grateful to Tunbridge Wells Rugby Football Club and the Birkby family, who have raised a fantastic £3,050 to support the Sensory Room at our Acorns Day Opportunities Centre! 🎉

Their amazing fundraising will help us enhance this important space, making it even more engaging, therapeutic and welcoming for the people we support.

Our Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, Jo Dennis, and Head of Kent Services, Catronia Toms, were delighted to join the club on Saturday to celebrate their achievement and receive the cheque from Club President Jim Hendley. 🏉

Our Wednesday 28 October session is now SOLD OUT! 🎉
