We're so proud to have Oliver registered as a young carer with our service in East Sussex.

Not only does he help support his mum but he manages to some how find the time to share his passion in supporting his fellow young carers through our Youth Shadow Board and play a big part in the Young Carers Alliance with Carers Trust

Such a worthy cause to shout about!!!

🗣️ FEEDBACK FRIDAY!

This week we held our first Wellbeing Walk and Talk for Adult Carers in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey. The group enjoyed a rather breezy walk followed by a cuppa and a natter 💜

One of the carers shared; "Just a quick message to thank you for the walk and talk this morning. It was lovely to meet a couple of new carers and it was a really relaxing morning. I'm looking forward to the next meetup in Sittingbourne"

🖊️ This week our unpaid carers in Lewisham welcomed, Matthew Mckenzie to deliver a creative and inspiring workshop, 'Finding Our Voices Through Poetry'.

The session provided a supportive space for the group to reflect, connect, and express themselves through the power of poetry.

Matthew shared:

"Thank you to Imago for making space for a carer-led session at Ignition Brewery, and to everyone who took part. For me, the value of the morning was hearing carers express themselves and seeing the group support each other as they did so." 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a meaningful session. We look forward to working with Matthew again and offering more opportunities for carers to explore creativity, build confidence, and have their voices heard.

This role is incredibly rewarding providing short-term interventions that support young carers to improve their resilience, educational chances and wellbeing 💜

These roles are full time, working 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend days in the year to deliver fun activities.
