Walking around the Begwns (or Begwyns) from Clyro with the Brecon Beacons Park Society. The weather played ball again.

We went on an adventure today to the East (of Herefordshire) with Ross Ramblers. A train journey meant we had a linear, up and down walk from Malvern Link up and along the Malvern ridges, with hill forts galore.

Below Rhinog Fach and Y Llethr. A walk to Llyn Hywel. We decided not to head up into the cloud today.

Cwm Nantcol: Looking for a waterfall.

Scrambling up to Rhinog Fawr. Some huge and beautiful dry stone walls in the most inaccessible places. Mind you there was plenty of stone. Very surprising blue skies and a gentle breeze until we got back down.

We headed west today for some on foot exploration. Starting at Craig y Nos we romped up to the limestone crags of Carreg Goch and Disgwylfa. We then walked along Sinc Giedd which today was a dry river bed of red sandstone rocks and pebbles washed down by the stream which would normally disappear under ground through the limestone which was deposited on top of sandstone many millions of years ago. It was just the two of us until we neared the road back down by the show caves.
