Meet Usmaan… our newest Azaylia PhD Scholar at the University of Birmingham 🔬

His research into GATA2 Deficiency Syndrome could change what families face next, helping us identify which children are most at risk before cancer develops, and finding treatments that are gentler and safer than what we have right now.

“Any children I go on to help will be because of Azaylia’s life and the Azaylia Foundation.”

Children deserve more than one option. Usman is working to build that. 🧡

Part 2 - She’s 3 years into figuring out how leukaemia starts in babies, before anyone can see it ✨

Ananya is one of our Azaylia PhD Scholars at Oxford University. She built a model that behaves like a child’s leukaemia in real life. Now, she’s testing drug combinations that could mean lower doses, fewer side effects, fewer relapses 🧡

This is what progress looks like, and we are beyond proud! 🦁

There is something really special about taking time to pour back into yourself while pouring into others too ✨

On 8th August we’re bringing Wellness with Purpose back to Liverpool for year two, and I’m so excited to do it all over again.

A day of movement, healing, connection, fun and purpose, all while raising vital funds for children with cancer and their families.

We’re proud to introduce Menna, the latest Azaylia PhD Scholar, based at the University of Birmingham 🎓 and supported through a special collaboration between The Azaylia Foundation, Birmingham University and Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital Charity 🧡

Thanks to this funding, Menna is carrying out life-changing research focused on Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), with the goal of improving outcomes for children battling this devastating disease 🧡

AML is especially close to our hearts, as it was the type of leukaemia that Azaylia bravely fought. Through pioneering research, we hope to help create a future where more children and families have access to better treatments, greater hope, and improved chances of survival 🧡🦁

We are so honoured to have partnered with the and to bring JoyJars to children in hospitals all around the UK 🧡

Earlier this month, our CEO visited The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to deliver the very first batch, and seeing all their little faces light up was something truly special 🥹

This is just the beginning, and we’re so grateful to be able to spread a little more light and happiness to children who need it most 🦁✨
