We're delighted to announce that we have been named a Trinity College Champion Centre for 2026 - 2027 for our successful delivery of Arts Award!

Trinity College London is a leading international exam board and we're so happy to be able to deliver Arts Award with children across the UK and help them achieve certificates and qualifications through creative work.

This is the fourth time we've been named as a Trinity Champion Centre so we're delighted to continue to be recognised for our work!

Creative children across the UK can join our online Arts Award sessions and access our online learning portal to work through activities here https://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/arts-award

Work of the Week!

On Saturday we had a fantastic online lesson from Den who joined us from Ukraine, and taught some of our regular members the basics of how to use Blender - 3D modelling software.

Everyone 3D modelled a key ring, and then exported it ready for 3D printing.

We'll be sharing the outcomes of these once we get them printed, but for now let's enjoy this illustration done by one of our young people after the session to show their experience! Great portrait of Den! We hope he likes it!

Young people can get involved in our online workshops covering a wide range of art and design topics, and access our learning portal here https://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/arts-award

Great coverage from Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce in their May/June Business Intelligence Magazine 🙏

It features some details on how you can support our work, and gives a taste of our story and why our organisation does what it does! We particularly love this quote from our founder, who didn't know he was dyslexic until aged 35:

"Creative Briefs is the outlet I wish I'd have had when I was younger so now I've created it for others. For example, neurodiverse children often struggle with text-led tasks and can feel unable to take part in what could be described as traditional learning. What we do is come up with activities which are practical, collaborative and creative-led, delivered by tutors and professionals with lived experience of neurodiversity."

A big thank you to Naomi at DragonFruits for supporting our charitable work by collecting donations from audience members during a recent music concert.

Every contribution helps us continue delivering creative opportunities for young people who benefit from alternative and arts-based approaches to learning.

Work of the week!

This is one from the archives - a young person who worked on the Dinostar exterior design which is now installed on Humber Street. A fantastic early sketch of ideas - some of which made the final design, and other more adventurous ideas which show ambition and creative flare.

Love the attention to detail on the existing building structure. Anyone who knows Humber Street well enough would recognise that roof shape!

Children from across the UK can take part in creative activities and gain Arts Award certificates with us by signing up to our online portal here: https://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/arts-award

We're really happy to see so much publicity about our business sponsorship packages!

We have a range of ways that businesses can support our work with neurodivergent young people, whether it's funding our Arts Award bursary, or giving us the opportunity for an annual trip - there's plenty of ways to get involved. See more here:
https://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/business-sponsorship

We also have a 'Pay What You Can' scheme - ideal for individuals who would like to donate towards our general work.

Many thanks for the coverage Hull Is This 🤩

Work of the Week!

We absolutely love this mixed up animal design, combining a penguin with a bird to make a Pengbird!

There's wonderful detail in the original drawing - you can see the feathers in the wings and the beak. A great piece of work for Part A of Discover Arts Award which shows creative thinking and a lovely mix of hand drawings and AI tools to bring ideas to life.

Penguins can't fly, but we think with those wings a Pengbird would probably be able to take to the skies!

Fantastic work - well done 👏

Work of the Week!

Here's another fantastic piece of work sent to us, by a young person who has created an entirely new animal by mixing together an Okapi and a Capybara - to create an Okabarer!

We were not familiar with an Okapi before! So this is a great example of how much we learn from the young people, as well as them learning from us - and how everyone can share knowledge and information in our sessions.

We were delighted to see how this young person used a mix of hand drawing, coloured pens, and then AI tools to transform the ideas into a finished outcome.

More fantastic work that supports Part A of Discover Arts Award. Well done! 👏

It's time for Work of The Week!

We've had so many brilliant pieces of work sent to over the past week that we couldn't choose just one! So we've got a few to share, starting with these brilliant research sheets created by a young person who has learnt about two artists - Jean Michel Basquiat and Beryl Cook.

This is fantastic evidence for Part B of Discover Arts Award. It shows their research and is full of interesting facts about two very different artists. We also love how this young person has drawn some of the artwork they've learnt about - a great mix of words and pictures!

Brilliant work - well done 👏

Introducing Work Of The Week! ⭐️

Each week we're going to be featuring work by a young person that has really caught our eye.

This week we're loving this mixed-up animal - an Ocean Cleaner which collects rubbish from the sea. Its big tail is like a platypus and helps him go fast so he can collect lots of rubbish.

This has been created as part of Part A of Arts Award Discover level. https://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/arts-award

It’s full of imagination, creativity, and some brilliant original thinking. We love the explanation behind some of the design decisions and the bold use of colour.

Great work!
