Calling all equestrian business owners!

From forage to forecasting, we'll be deep diving into diversification opportunities, challenges currently faced, profit margins and pricing strategies!

We’re delighted to be sponsored by Equilibrium Products, who have been putting horses at the heart of what they do for over 25 years. From safety-focused headcollars and lightweight, breathable boots to massage products designed with horse wellbeing in mind, their products are created to offer practical solutions for horses and their owners.

And there’s more to come - Equilibrium will soon be launching a new addition to their safety range, designed to make safer everyday handling accessible to even more horse owners.

What a great day today commemorating the great escape of Charles II. After the battle of Worcester Charles fled defeat and took refuge at Boscobel House, hiding in an Oak tree on the estate. Joining us on the ride were members of the Worcestershire Cavalry in period costume and the ride featured on the BBC news website and will hopefully be on Midlands Today at 5:50 tonight 🤞

Thank you to everyone involved, including Lee at Boscobel House for being such great hosts, all the riders and support teams for taking part and special thanks to our volunteers Dee Handley who suggested the whole event and Kim Wolstencroft for designing the route and leading the ride 👏

Final thanks to Woodford Riding Stables who presented the proceeds from a recent show to Mark Weston, Director of Access, to be added to the Access Fighting Fund, we're very grateful and the funds will be put to good use! 🥳

A rewarding afternoon clearing vegetation from Cefn Road (Restricted Byway CZ46), an ancient route in Craswall, Herefordshire. We joined with volunteers from Black Mountains and Golden Valley Bridleways group who regularly work along the 4km byway, determined for this historic and scenic route to be accessible. Thanks to all involved! 🥳

🥳We mapped out the final carriage driving and riding routes this week for our Ride Out UK Ride on 3 October. The routes are a mix of open parkland, tracks and woodland so there's something for everyone, all enclosed in 1,000 acres of the Weston Park estate.

There's still time to book and join us to raise vital funds for Ride Out UK 👉https://buytickets.at/thebritishhorsesocietywestmidlands/2248022

⏳Bookings close on Friday 25 September.

🌱🌧️Much of the country is feeling the relief with cooler temperatures and rainfall on the horizon.

⚠️However, the sudden grass growth can increase the risk of laminitis for your horses, especially in those that are overweight or have hormonal conditions such as EMS.

🔍Please check your horse’s feet regularly and be on the lookout for the subtle signs of laminitis.

📞If you’re concerned, contact your vet for support.
